Some people think that heartbreak is the worst feeling in the world. Many relationships have gone wrong, leaving more questions than answers. Why does it sometimes feel like a broken heart hurts worse than a broken bone? Do feelings really have that much of an impact on a person’s day-to-day life? There are a number of reasons why a relationship fails. Jealousy, attachment, detachment, selfishness, time, trust, communication, honesty, and acceptance are just a few reasons. Do opposites really attract? Maybe at first. It’s hard to maintain a relationship when two people have absolutely nothing in common. You start to think that nobody will understand what you’re going through. You don’t have any goals. Or you just stop believing that there isn’t anything out there for you to hold onto that has any meaning to your life. Life isn’t about the what ifs or maybes or the destination, it’s about the journey and what you can overcome to make you a better person. It’s about setting goals and doing your best to succeed. There is nothing in life that you have to prove to anybody but yourself. Everybody is a unique individual that nobody else can compare to. If you felt that you couldn’t be yourself in a relationship then that’s something that needs to be reevaluated. You could look at a failed relationship as an obstacle in life that you have to overcome in order to become a better, stronger person. Placing blame on a failed relationship and putting too much thought into the question Why?, isn’t really fair to either party involved. It is not necessarily one person’s fault or because one specific event that happened. If two people were together, for however long, then something about the other person must have made you happy at one point during your relationship. Every relationship needs time and space away from each other as well as together. A time when you can each find who you are as an individual to better be a couple. Not everybody has a successful relationship right off the bat. A successful relationship takes time and effort to build
