Did you know that uniforms take away the 1st amendment from students throughout the world?? The 1st amendment says”Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.” So basically this means that the government or your school boards are violating your rights to the 1st Amendment. School boards are generally allowed to create and enforce dress code programs within their districts, they must do so without violating the constitutional rights of students. According to the 1st Amendment uniform schools are violating the rights of students. Therefore, I strongly agree that uniforms should be banned. Your school tells you everything is free, no money needed to join our school. But the truth is for a male student to buy at least one uniform is about 195 dollars, the items are your pants, shorts, a polo shirt, a sweater, shoes, and a belt. For a female student to buy at least one uniform is about 186 dollars, the items are your pants, depending on the person a skirt and shorts, a sweater, a belt and school shoes. That is usually an expensive amount for a school uniform and especially since it is only one uniform. It’s understandable for two to three but one? Expensive.
