Have you ever wondered why teachers take a whole month to review everything from the previous year or why students tend to forget everything? Every year, students are keeping their calendars at hand and counting down the days until summer vacation. It’s the last day of school and when the final bell rings, kids are ready to do nothing for three months. However, is this really a good thing? The possibility of having year-round schools is at hot debate topic right now and it is time for change from traditional calendar schools. Schools should incorporate a system where schooling is year-round instead of having a long summer break because this allows for more learning and would prevent the problem of students forgetting everything they’ve
Children Need Summer Break Students look forward to getting out of school for summer. They count down the last few days until the bell rings on that last day and they are out for summer break. They get so excited to be able to go on vacations, spend more time reading, visiting family, and of course, sleeping in. Children also look forward to going back to school after summer break. They are so excited for the first day of class that they have to get all new school supplies. They wake up extra early and are ready to learn on that first day. If school was all year round, I believe students would never look forward to school and would affect their learning. Therefore, in my opinion, I do not believe school should be year round.

Introduction Have you ever found yourself in the same schedule? Repeating almost the same day over and over. Students with traditional scheduled schooling have to go 70 plus days before just a short break. If we had year-round schooling the most we would have to go to school before a break is 45 days. Plus students would be able to advance more quickly, teachers would be happier, and our school would have a higher grade point average. This is why year-round schooling could help the staff and students of linden schools.
Having a part-time job at a young age, helps teens get ready for their careers as they get older. Jobs will also give adolescents more responsibility and respect, which they will use and depend on a great deal as adults. That sounds great, doesn’t it? Teens having more -respect for themselves as well as others would keep them out of trouble. Hey, that’s another point! If adolescents spent more time focusing on benefiting their future, fewer teens will be getting into trouble. Think of it, if you had homework to complete and a job to go to, would you be thinking about going out of your way just to get in trouble with the risk of getting caught?
“No pencils, no books, no more teachers; for a kid, an endless summer would be the best thing in the world. Unfortunately, right now America’s education system is on the ropes” (Reasons Why Year Round School Is A Good Idea-Screenflex). With prom, school sports and other fun trips high school has to offer, paying for all these actives may not be ideal for the parent of these high school students. Getting a job can be an option for high school students to help the student also to the parent with these experiences that are coming. Even though Amitai Etzioni strongly consider part-time jobs have no long life value, part-time jobs do prepare high school students to develop job skills for their future because learn to maintain priorities , the student learns the value of money , and develop life skills.
The first reason was some students work over the summer to help their family pay the bills. Some teenagers work to save up money for college. Students can also gain work experience that is good for their resume. Students can also, work in a place that relates to a subject that they want to study. Happiness and joy fills the classrooms as everyone leaves the room talking about their summer plans with their friends and family. This is the way it should be,but what if all that was taken away just like that? and the joy of summer vacation suddenly disappeared? All you had planned to have with the people you were closest with. How would you feel if all of that was gone? Should kids go to school year round? Believe it or not this question is being debated in many school districts around the country. After much thought and a little research the answer to that question is a very loud and vocal YES! I can give you three good reasons why school aged kids should go to classes year round. First, it is less stressful! Not to mention the better quality of education and will prepare students for the new global economy. The controversial debate is if students should work throughout a school year. Of course there is pros and cons to this topic. Scientist have proven that many students whom do work a long amount of hours tend to have poor academic performance as well as poor behavior. Although those who do work for a moderate amount of hours tend to be more independent and successful in the long run. Well who is correct?
Almost every teenager wants a job, yet many people are against it. I believe teenagers should have after-school jobs for a number of reasons. First, having a son or a daughter that works can financially help the parents. Also, the experience the teenager will acquire from after-school jobs will help him or her on future jobs. Finally, teenagers should have after-school jobs because it will keep them away from trouble. Parents should realize that as long as their son or daughter wants an after-school job and it does not affect his or her performance at school, they should let their child have one.
Students should not take up part time jobs. Discuss. Nowadays, students love to have part-time jobs. Their parents approve it easily as they are said to gain experience from working. However, having a job is a big responsibility for a student. Before, teenagers at their age were working to help their family because of poverty. Nevertheless, they were actually eager to study and learn at school for their future. It was not the same as the teenagers nowadays where they are more likely competing to each other to have a job.
