Many students work part-time while going to school is a good idea or not? I think it’s a good idea. I work part-time during the school year. Why can’t kid work during the school year? Kids should work during the school year so they can get experience in working. On the other hand, they do have to do homework they have to do. In the end it will teach the kids how to manage their schedules and their time. Kids should work part time so they can get money for the fun stuff in life. They should also work so they can get experience in the real world. Another reason they should work is so they can gain social skills. They will also learn how to manage their money. It’s time for the kids to grow up. There are down flats on having
Have you ever found yourself in the same schedule? Repeating almost the same day over and over. Students with traditional scheduled schooling have to go 70 plus days before just a short break. If we had year-round schooling the most we would have to go to school before a break is 45 days. Plus students would be able to advance more quickly, teachers would be happier, and our school would have a higher grade point average. This is why year-round schooling could help the staff and students of linden schools.
Having a part-time job at a young age, helps teens get ready for their careers as they get older. Jobs will also give adolescents more responsibility and respect, which they will use and depend on a great deal as adults. That sounds great, doesn’t it? Teens having more -respect for themselves as well as others would keep them out of trouble. Hey, that’s another point! If adolescents spent more time focusing on benefiting their future, fewer teens will be getting into trouble. Think of it, if you had homework to complete and a job to go to, would you be thinking about going out of your way just to get in trouble with the risk of getting caught?
The first reason was some students work over the summer to help their family pay the bills. Some teenagers work to save up money for college. Students can also gain work experience that is good for their resume. Students can also, work in a place that relates to a subject that they want to study. It can help show college what their interest are. If the summer vacation is longer they will have more opportunity
Have you ever wondered why teachers take a whole month to review everything from the previous year or why students tend to forget everything? Every year, students are keeping their calendars at hand and counting down the days until summer vacation. It’s the last day of school and when the final bell rings, kids are ready to do nothing for three months. However, is this really a good thing? The possibility of having year-round schools is at hot debate topic right now and it is time for change from traditional calendar schools. Schools should incorporate a system where schooling is year-round instead of having a long summer break because this allows for more learning and would prevent the problem of students forgetting everything they’ve
All Schools should be year round because it could help the students academically. Also they won't forget what the learned. But also it lets them have more separate breaks then just one big pointless break. Statistics show that if you have one big long summer break you forget what you have learned. Because kids show up to school on the first day and forget what they have learned the previous year. So if those kids had school all year they could’ve had a better memory of what they are learning.
Teenagers need to have a job and they can’t do that with year round school. Julia Sines, Journalist of Pantagraph says “Some students work over the summer to save up money for college, so with school being year-round, they wouldn't get that opportunity”. (“The Pros and Cons”). If students have year round school, then they wouldn’t be able to make money because instead of working they are at school. So students should not have year round schools so they can get good jobs for college.
School should start at later times because the extra sleep helps you focus more in school, feel a lot more energized and awake, and you get more time to do stuff in the morning before school.
They will first learn what they want their careers to be when they grow up, and they will just have to follow the following steps if they decide to change their careers. They will first learn about what tax forms to use when doing taxes. They will learn what to do when their taxes get audited. My children will then learn how to fill them out. Afterwards we will go over how to get the most out of their tax returns.
Another thing is that children can manage money better if they get a job and work for it, like if they babysit, or mow the neighbor's lawn. Also, I think it is okay for kids to get paid for doing extra chores, if they help out more than they were asked to then they definitely deserve a
Students look forward to getting out of school for summer. They count down the last few days until the bell rings on that last day and they are out for summer break. They get so excited to be able to go on vacations, spend more time reading, visiting family, and of course, sleeping in. Children also look forward to going back to school after summer break. They are so excited for the first day of class that they have to get all new school supplies. They wake up extra early and are ready to learn on that first day. If school was all year round, I believe students would never look forward to school and would affect their learning. Therefore, in my opinion, I do not believe school should be year round.
Do you ever wake up and feel like you haven’t gotten enough sleep? The reason is because in reality you probably haven’t. Studies show that schools should not start any earlier that 8:30 in the morning due to teens suffering from sleep deprivation. There are many negative effects this condition can have on a teens body including a direct effect on one’s physical and mental health, public safety and excelling in the future. In the Ted Talk video, " Why school should start later for teens" by, Wendy Troxel. Ms. Troxel explained why school should start later for teens.. Students are very drowsy in the morning and are usually rushing to get to school on time which limits breakfasts times and healthy food options. Schools should start no earlier than 8:30 a.m. for several reasons but sleep deprivation is the most important. Sleep deprivation can cause a direct effect to a child’s general health and behavior, public safety and potentially future success.
By having a job a teenager can save up for college, to buy a car, to buy a stereo, etc. Teenagers feel 'free' when they have a job: they can spend their own money on whatever they want without feeling guilty. In addition to helping his family, having a job at an early age can help for future jobs.
I imagine kids would benefit from being paid to do chores, cause if the kids paid to do chores. If kids are getting paid for helping around the house it will help them later on in life.
I, being employed with a part-time job, truly do believe that there is no wrong in having a part-time job while being a student. I honestly think that it is an awesome, great idea for students to have part-time jobs before they graduate from high school -- if they have the time and resources to do so. Students who are responsible, or learn responsibility, have nothing to loose but all to gain by having a job. There are a few key points that prove students having part-time jobs is an awesome concept which I am going to point out.
The best benefit from working is to have money, and it also gives you something to occupy your time. This lets them learn the value of the dollar and what it’s worth. They will learn how to get money, and how you have to work for it. They will start “understanding how to be smart about what they spend and knowing that money is earned, not granted.”(Ranae). Teenagers can start appreciating the value of money, and that it isn’t always easy to make a few dollars.
