Blogging enabled people to generate ideas that they could share with the worldwide web. Starting a blog is quite easy and affordable too. Here you’ll learn twelve compelling reasons to start blogging. 1. It helps you learn new things. You can only know that you understand a thing if you can clearly explain it to another person, so they understand it too. Blogging enables you to share with others what you’ve learnt or what you’re trying to learn. As such you’ll be obliged to keep learning new ideas and understand better those ideas you already know. 2. It makes you think clearer. Training the thinking muscle is, unfortunately, something we don’t learn in school. However, through blogging, you’ll be able to think deeply, develop new ideas, and arrange these ideas into a coherent article. Additionally, you’ll learn how to monitor your thoughts, thus, concentrate on the thoughts that build you and rid self-defeating ones. 3. It helps improve your writing skills. Just like any other skill, your writing skills will only become better through practice. Writing entails posting your thoughts on paper in a way that provides some form of value to the reader. And you can only do that at a high level by exercising your writing muscle regularly. Consequently, these benefits will trickle into other forms of writing like creating
The advancement of technology has launched with many different ways to communicate. From sending letters by mail and having to wait weeks to get, to receiving a message instantly in just seconds by using the internet. The internet is used by everyone and has become the most effective way to communicate online and meet other people. It has grown to become its own community. The internet, not only is it used to communicate, but for multiple things. Such as news, sharing ideas, research, arguing, blogging, etc. In an article, Weblogs: Learning in Public, by Jill Walker Rettberg, a teacher at a school decides to have her students use the internet in order to put their work into the real life. Her students have to create their own personal weblogs as an assignment, where they can share and write about whatever they please. I agree with Rettberg’s decision on her assignment because it will expose young adolescence to a whole different community where it will have an effect on their knowledge making and how they define themselves.

In The Atlantic article “Why I Blog,” Andrew Sullivan explores a relatively new and compelling medium of communication, blogging. He discusses how blogging has changed writing from a future oriented process of writing to a rather provisional sense of writing. Consequently, this makes the process of editing, revising, polishing and ultimately publishing almost non-existent in the realm of blogging. Sullivan goes on to note how the usage of blogs has created a bond between the reader and the author, and the pace at which that bond travels is seamless. Sullivan writes, “And the intimate bond this creates with readers is unlike the bond that the Times, say, develops with its readers through the same events.” Quite notably in this quote, Sullivan explains that the formal writing often associated with well known traditional newspapers, such as The New York Times, seems to lack a human quality; Whereas, blogging generates that constant flux of thoughts and paves a path of reassessment, through feedback from readers. “To blog is therefore to let go of your writing in a way, to hold it at arm’s length, open it to scrutiny, allow it to float in the ether for a while, and to let
I really enjoy writing about my own opinion. In my 8th grade English class we had something called “Daily Journal” my English teacher would give us a question to answer and we would write a paragraph on what we thought about it. I really did enjoy doing that, I also wish we still did something like that in one of my classes this year. I really enjoy getting to state my opinion on things. Even if my opinion does not matter to anyone I still like to write it down.
