Assignment 2 To better understand my communication skills, I conducted brief conversations with various employees at my school. Because school is out for the summer, I had to meet with a bus driver and cafeteria worker from another school that is currently having summer school. Each individual was asked the following questions: What do you like best about the summer vacation? Is this your favorite time of the year? Why or Why not? Here are the descriptions from each interaction.
I remember my first day of 4th grade at Springfield local. I was nervous, the teacher who would be teaching me was known to have made students do a lot of writing. Of course I have written out small sentences and maybe some alphabetical practice on paper before, but I have never written thoughts or ideas that coursed through my nine year old brain. We were advised to bring a journal to keep all year throughout the class, to write about whatever topic the teacher desired to assign to the classroom
Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Every two years the Olympic games come around. For three weeks we watch as the nation’s finest compete against other nations for the chance to have a medal draped around their necks. There are two types of Olympics: the summer and winter games, but only one could be the better of the two. As a viewer of the events, the answer to that question is easy; the better of the two is the winter games because of the time of year, the athletic events, and the moments to remember.
The Seasons I have always wondered why so many people want to skip over certain seasons to rush to the next one. Sometimes they want to skip to summer, then when they have the hot days of summer, decide they want the cooler seasons. People get in too big of a hurry instead of appreciating each of them. Whether it is the beautiful spring days, summer fun, leaves changing colors, or playing in the snow, there is something enjoyable about each season. Spring is a magical season. It is the
We all have our favorite time of the year; it might be summer, spring, fall or even winter. The holidays are a time for celebrations, decorating and heartwarming love. The holidays are just a joyous time of the year. They are also a time for family, friends, and great food and let 's not forget a break from work. But my overall favorite time of the year is the holiday season, Thanksgiving and Christmas and the family traditions that brings out the holiday spirit. To start with, Thanksgiving is a

Blueberry Yum Yum has been in my family for generations and very common from where my family is from. It’s a southern dessert that warms my heart when my mom tells me, “We are going to Grandma’s for dinner.” The thought of Blueberry Yum Yum makes me smile from ear to ear. I will always remember going to my grandparent’s house for thanksgiving and having the yum yum for dessert every year. Whenever my Grandma would ask my brother and I what we wanted to eat that year, we always said yum yum without
Throughout the four seasons people would mostly say that summer is there favorite season. Why do people tend to enjoy summer so much? Could it be that during the summer the weather gets hot during the day and warm at night? Could it be that you can venture off to different places like the beach with your family and friends or sticking your toes in the water or sand? Whatever the case may be the summer time seems to be the season to have fun, laugh, and relax. In the Backpack Literature textbook on
was the most horrible thing that could happen to me. The entire summer, I was on my computer and phone communicating with my friends and watching videos. Being a college student who has a lot of reading homework, I was angry that we could not read because I wanted to read the books for my classes so I would be able to do some of my homework. As I said before, accessing the media is very typical of teenagers and college students. My generation has lived with technology our entire lives. Growing up
explain my adventurous moment to friends, I never forget the scenarios that happen between 2010 and 2012. I visited two different cities in two different States during this time doing the same activity, carrying out the same fun experience from an internship, but had different results and likes. It was the summer of 2010 I had to visit Folly Beach, and then summer 2011 was Pensacola Beach, and next was Folly Beach again during summer 2012. Not only do both beaches clinch personal memories in my head
