Did you know that Abraham lincoln was assassinated by John Wilkes at about 10 pm at at Ford’s Theater. The assassination of Abraham Lincoln was unjust because he was a strong leader and he freed all of the slaves but some people believe that he had no right to mess with slavery. Our nation is unified today because of Abraham’s leadership during the Civil War.
Abraham Lincoln was a strong leader in many ways. He appointed all of his rivals into his cabinet, which was not normally done. He led us through the Civil War, but he was most remembered for freeing the slaves with the 13th Amendment. Abraham Lincoln was a strong leader because he appointed his rivals into his cabinet. This was a very bold and strong move for the President because all of his rivals were very smart and had all different views. His cabinet consisted of William H. Seward, Salmon P. Chase, William P. Fessenden, Simon Cameron, Edwin M. Stanton, Edward Bates, James Speed, Montgomery Blair, William Dennison, Gideon Welles, Caleb B. Smith and Caleb B. Smith. This proves that Abraham Lincoln was confident and cared more about the success of American than personal disputes.
