In mostly everything people say that physical strength is more important that mental strength. The thing that they don’t see is that using mental and physical strength is as important in sports. Without one of these strengths you won’t be successful in sports. You would need mental and physical strength in sports since both of them are important in sports. Both mental and physical strength are important in sports because without mental strength you won’t be able to plan a strategy to win the other team. And without physical strength you don’t stand a chance against other players. In the text it says “our minds, as much as our lungs and muscles, are a vital force that empowers our running”(Paragraph 8). This evidence from “Why we Run” tells the readers that both physical and mental strength are equal. Another evidence from this excerpt states “A race is like a work of art that people can look at and be affected by in as many ways as they’re capable of understanding”(Paragraph 12).These two pieces of evidence tell the reader that both mental and physical strength empowers our bodies in sports making sports as gentle as a “work of art”. …show more content…
