Why We Should Be Prohibited In The Classroom

I think phones should be allowed in school. My first reason for having this opinion is because they sometimes need to contact their parents. The second reason is because the phone has many uses. The third reason for my opinion is that students often need to contact the teachers as well.

Tap Tap, Tap. Students are constantly using cellphones in class when they should be paying attention to important materials in class. Some schools have banned cell phones. Some schools are taking advantage of cell phones and trying to them to open new possibilities for new learning experience. A cell phone is a piece of technology that can have a positive and negative effect. For example you can use it find out what you need to study. It depends on the user. Cell phones can also be used to cheat and then you wouldn’t be learning anything, except how to cheat. Do you really think that we should allow these with children that don’t know how to use them correctly? I wouldn’t. Although cell phones can open new opportunities to learning, we can not assume that students will use them for academic reasons. Therefore, cell phones are not the best thing to have in school, they shouldn't be allowed in school to ensure a good environment for the future generations of mankind. The negative effects from cell phones can distract kids from the subject they are learning in school, reduce the amount of respect students show teachers, and make schools less empathetic. The only thing that schools will get from allowing cellphones in class is nothing but trouble.

Students shouldn’t be allowed to have phones in school because students can easily use them to cheat on tests and quizzes. According to U.S. News “More than one third of teens with cell phones admit to having stored information on them to look at during a test or texting friends about answers.” (Miners, “More than”). Many people already use phones to cheat now even when phones aren’t allowed, so allowing phones to be present in the classroom will give students easier opportunities to cheat. Cheating is also unfair to the students who study and work hard to make grades. So phones not being allowed in classrooms is a better choice so students will study and learn instead of just cheating using their phone.

If there just happens to be an emergency at school for instance like a school threat or school shooting , cell phones could help students connect to their worried parents. Every student enrolled in Cameron High School should be able to get the highest quality of education available. However, in fact, we are not getting what we need to achieve this. The students of LA III have decided we no longer deserve to suffer educationally because of the limits and restrictions of the school district. I think they shouldn't ban Candy and Soda from schools. When someone takes something from you, you want it more then usual you need to have it back. The government shouldn't ban these types of foods in school because we need some energy in us, we learn for like seven hours straight we need sugar. Students don't just wake up and have energy, they need sugar or whatever they can get to keep them educated. If you ban candy and soda kids will just hide them in their backpack and be low key about them. Some could even sell candy, chips, and soda and have the hook up. Phones are banned from some schools yet kids still bring them and use them teachers don't notice because they keep it low key.

I will never forget the look on my friends face when they told him that he could not use the public bathrooms at school because it made other boys uncomfortable. He was told that because he is transgender, he would have to use the single bathroom for the handicapped students. Allowing him to use the bathroom of his choice would have stopped him from feeling discriminated against.

College have limited guidelines students have to obey. With less rules the students fulfilled their needs to do things they'll never do at home. For instance, students can go to limited parties, they have no curfew, and maybe try drugs. In fact, they have their own choice to make. Additionally, students can adopt to not going to class, leaving their dorm late at night, or just hanging with the wring crowed. Parents are not there to hold their kids hands. First year students are not used to having freedom; having someone telling them what to do. Students attend to take advantage of that

Many places in society are setting policies on digital device. The principal at my school has also set policies on banning cell phones in school. Students should not be permitted to use cell phones in school. Using cell phones during school allows students to cheat. Students will be more distracted by cell phones and pay less attention to the teacher and to the lesson. Students have a higher chance of getting in trouble if they use cell phones in school rather than if they are not allowed to use digital devices in school.
