Why We Should Let Julius Caesar Live

The death of Julius Caesar was a bitter and gruesome one. He died by the hand of his friend Brutus and his own group of senators who badly mutilated his body. His last words were , “Et Tu Brutus” ? meaning you too Brutus. This was a grave mistake on the part of the assassins because the people of Rome loved Caesar. According to the 1st century article on Julius Caesar, Caesar always took care of his soldiers even the ones that weren’t serving and he gave them all land. Julius Caesar was also loved by Romans because he took care of his people allocating land to every citizen of Rome. Caesar was a hero to the many people of Rome. He was a successful general, a people person, and an intelligent dictator.

Initially, Julius Caesar was a hero because he created jobs by building roads, temples, and aqueducts. John Herman writes, “Caesar created jobs by building roads, temples, and aqueducts.” By building these roads, the city of Rome moved supplies easier and faster. By building temples the city of Rome prayed and worshiped their gods in peace. By building aqueducts the city of Rome had a bigger water supply and clean water.

Julius Caesar was a viable savior of the troubled Republic. He enacted lots of good legislation and did some activities to make better life to his people. Firstly, he relieved the debt. At that time, citizens in Rome and Italy were suffering terribly under massive debt, which had long affected all levels of society. According to BHR page 153, “As confidence evaporated, lenders began to demand repayment of their loans, and real estate values collapsed.

Julius The Hero Caesar helped a lot of people in many different ways. My three ways that he was a hero are, he reformed the Roman republic, made a great military, and gained land for the poor. Caesar was a hero to me. As you can read my first reason was he reformed the Roman republic.

Julius Caesar was greatly admired by his soldiers and citizens. Julius Caesar won the support of his soldiers through his military leadership and strategy. With his military, he strengthened and expanded the state of Rome.

Many people knew Julius Caesar as powerful and popular Roman general and statesman. Julius was born in Rome the year of 100BC, and later died in 44BC. Growing up Julius had a well-rounded family. His father, Gaius Caesar, governed the region of Asia, and his mother, Aurelia Cotta, was the noble birth. At the age of seventeen, Julius married Cornelia, the daughter of an influential politician in Rome. Then just at 31, Julius had fought in wars and become involved in Roman politics. Although some people might view Julius Caesar as a villain, he was considered to be a hero in the Roman world. Julius Caesar is a hero because he improved the Roman Republic, changed the local governments, and protected the reconstruction of the city-states.

Julius Caesar was a military and politic leader which ended the Roman Republic and started the Roman Empire, which will bring many benefits to the whole territory conquered by this government. It was based in the military conquest of the North African lands and the whole Europe. Julius began his political career since he was very young. As soon as he could, he joined the Populist Party and started gaining the confidence of the plebeians by subsidizing parties and public constructions. His whole Pre-emperor period gave him some knowledge on how to make people follow him not only by what he said in his speeches but also by what he promised the entire roman nation.

Caesar also made the government run better and stronger. Once Julius was ruling he expanded the senate to 900, and made them stronger. He then brought down the Roman debt So that they

Julius Caesar was a great leader of Rome. Not only did he lead a very strong army, but his people also loved him. The debate is always should he have been killed or should he have lived and lead us to more victories.

Despite the fears of becoming a harsh dictator, the assassination of Julius Caesar was unjust because Caesar brought peace to rome, he was killed for no reason, and he had great ideas that would benefit the roman empire. Caesar was born to a very poor family, and through hard work he moved up the ranks in politics, and became the "dictator in perpetuity" of rome. He had a short one year of serving as the dictator before his assassination.

Julius Caesar had worked very hard to get the people to like him and like his ideas. Caesar was a man who, when he was born, his family was pretty well known in the world of politics, however he was not guaranteed a position with power. Caesar had to do a lot of campaigning and political work in order for him to become known in politics, which essentially led to some sort of power. In order for some of Caesar’s plans to work, some risks had to be taken, but that did not stop him, “…and never discarded a possible advantage for a problematically more attractive aim, thereby risking” (Fuller, 49). Caesar was not the most trained so he had to go with his gut, which typically meant taking a risk, but without risks, he would have never gotten anywhere.

Even though his death happened more than 2,000 years ago, most people still know the name Julius Caesar. Most people also know he built and ruled the mighty Roman Empire. He is even often remembered to have one of the greatest military minds in history, but he is most famous for his tragic death caused by his Senate. During his rule, he was able to make several advances for the betterment of the empire. To some, he ruled Rome very well, but to others all he was doing was hurting Rome.

Should Julius Caesar have been killed? This question has plagued history for years without a real answer. Julius Caesar was corrupt and all powerful, and his death saved Rome. It really is that simple; he declared himself dictator for life and ignored the Senate’s power. A man with that much power can only hurt a nation.

It is no lie that I, Marcus Brutus, killed Caesar for the good of Rome; therefore I should not be held accountable. Caesar was a friend that I loved as dearly as my friend Cassius. Rome being a republic it matters to me most that my fellow Romans be heard. Upon hearing that Rome was unhappy with Caesar's rule and fearing monarchy approaching I assisted the conspirators in the assassination of Julius Caesar. I tried to explain to other Romans that the deed was done in their best interest.

Philosophical thinker John Locke spoke on the rights of revolution, and how every man was given the birth-right of overthrowing restricting power. In multiple cases, the only means of challenging the vigors is death and brute force as demonstrated with Brutus in the tragedy Julius Caesar. These acts of violence demonstrate the will of the people -- the distance they are willing to go for their beliefs. When culminating their numbers, this will inevitably lead to the downfall of a once great leader. This is called the epitaph of a tyrant, the death of a controlling iron first -- a synonym for the dawn of a new day.
