I believe cell phones don't should be allow in school because, can be distracting and normally when the teachers ask to give the phone you never do that. For example, and first of all when the class start the students come at the classroom with the cellphone in their hands, they seat down and don't see the board the teacher only was focused in texting, share post's, see pictures and other things. The teacher give the instructions and the result for don't pay attention is do not now how to do the assignment. An other reason is, when the Friday "day of test, is come the teachers ask for their cellphones to put them off in a box or in the desk, the student need follow the rules but they don't want, they are layers with this and start a discussion,
There are many reasons why phones should be accepted in schools, here are a couple examples.Students can use their cell phones for help on wikipedia or just the internet in general. As it says in article #1 ”Not only will the children be in touch with the parents for regular instructions like a pick up point or change in time etc., but more importantly, they can also feed in emergency numbers like 911,hospitals,relatives,and others.”In times like now every child should have a phone so they can call if an attack happens. If an attack happened and the student doesn't have a phone, how will the parent know if their child is safe if they have no phone to contact them with to inform them of their safety. Lastly, from article #3 ”More and more students enter our school like Travis Allen who complain that when they are not allowed to use cell phones for learning, they feel like their teachers are keeping them prisoners of their past.” This shows the pros of having cell phones in schools.
Cell phones should not be banned at school for many reasons. One reason cell phones should not be banned is in the case of an accident or emergency. In the article, Cell Phones in School: An Overview by Beverly Ballaro and Jill Ginsburg, it states that “ 84% of parents felt that banning cell phones from school property was unacceptable and that 99 percent wanted their students to be able to call or be called in case of an emergency.”
First, I believe this because students can get easily distracted by phones. Students don’t pay much attention to the teacher’s lesson and are disturbed by all the notifications they receive. Some examples of how they can get distracted are social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat etc. Texting in class can also get students easily distracted from school work. Students tend to lack amount of sleep since they stay on their phone for most of the night.
Phones should not be allowed to be used at school because phones tend to distract not only the student that has the phone, but also the other student's and the teacher. When a person gets a text they want to answer it right then. When that student or person receives a text, it interrupts the whole class because for one, your going to want to answer it, and for the second reason the class looks at you and that causes a big distraction for everyone that was listening to the teacher and trying to learn. Another reason a phone is distraction is students tend to stay on social media and post crazy things and selfies and during class they want to take a picture of themselves and other student's to post and that distracts not only that person but their classmates around them.
Most schools do not allow the use of cell phones in school or in class, so the school feels like changing their policy of cell phone use might be a bad idea. Students could take advantage or miss use the privilege of phones in class. There will always be students who act out in class, but the school must discipline those who do and reward those who do not.
One reason why we should have our phones at school is because some teachers would say “kids will text each other during a test.” But all the teachers have to do is take the phones away during the test is going on, and when the test is over then the teachers can give you your phone back. Another reason is that teacher would say is “you don’t need your phones that are why there are chromebooks.” But on
Phone technology has been upgrading and updating for years now, and that’s obvious, and that means that this generation is filled with it. While it’s upgrading it’s also becoming more in demand than before. The world is starting taking it to another level, so there are also the downsides of these phones, the downsides that make this technology distracting, making people to beleive they shouldn’t be alowed in class. While it is true, phones can be a distraction sometimes, if the students are monitered the right way and know exactly what they are doing, phones just might be able to work out. With proper use, phones should be alowed in school.
I think that cell phone shouldn’t be allowed in school because it is a distraction to students, because kids are texting in school without permission, and it will be too much technology for students home and at school.
I think that the teachers should let phones be prohibited in the classrooms because the teachers never know what maybe into why we need our phones in the classroom and i feel like the teachers need to let us have our phones in the classroom so we can get in touch with whom every we need to get in touch with and the phone policy should always be prohibited in our classrooms.
Cell phones should not be allowed in classrooms because they are multi- functional, they compromise academic integrity and they are disrespectful.
Another problem is cell phone use during emergencies. Many people want students to have cell phones in emergencies. But this will not be safe. People in charge should only half cell phones. If hundreds of students half calls at the same time the teacher will not be able to teach their classes.
Kids shouldn’t have cell phones in school. It is a completely terrible idea because it’s a high risk in schools. It could get stolen it can interrupt classes it actually can even decrease safety in schools.
Many students will play on their phones and not pay attention to the teacher and the lesson that the teacher is giving. Students are sent to school to learn and by playing with cell phones during classes students are not learning anything that will help them with a career or their futures. Students can also text friends in other classrooms and not have their minds in the classroom that they are in. Students may eventually stop coming to school because they can just stay home and use their cell phones and do other things.
Cell phones aren’t usually that big so it gives the students a great opportunity to cheat. Most of the time during a test, students go to different websites to look for answers .Since they get free Wi-Fi in classrooms; it even becomes easier for them to cheat. In addition to that students can also trade answers with other students in class through Facebook, sms, kik, message and other social apps.Nowadays, cell phones have become one of the most useful source in America. In other words, a month earlier, I was looking through some photographs in my library class .The pictures were about students who cheats on class works, tests, quizzes and homework and can even go to Gail for plagiarism. On the other hand, today’s students take this as a joke. They don’t realize how it affects their grades. You can cheat a lot in life but one day there will be nothing to cheat from or anyone to get the answers from. In spite of this it is not always mandatory for someone to depend on a source more than themselves. This was another reason to explain why students should not be allowed to bring cell phones to school.
Teenagers are constantly on their phones with 73% having access to a smartphone, and out of the teens that have phones 90% of them text (Kowalski). It is because of these numbers that makes it very difficult to keep phones out of the classroom. Even when phones are banned teens will still find a way to sneak their phones into the classroom and attempt to secretly use them. This can be distracting to students around them, causing them to focus on the phone and not the lesson, and if the student is caught, a distraction for the entire class. The teacher will have to stop the class to reprimand the student and whatever he or she had just taught will most likely be lost on the students because of the distraction.
