Why You Should Finish High School

Achieving a high school diploma is extremely important to me. With a high school diploma I can go to college and after wards get a really good job, I can’t be as successful in life as I want to be without my diploma. I wouldn’t be able to make as much as money as I want to or travel the world without any education. I cannot be a independent woman like I always wanted to be So that’s why I have to work really hard to get my high school diploma so I can go far in life This will also set a good example for my younger brothers and sisters, I am the oldest in my family yes I won’t be the first to get my diploma my little sister actually got hers before me threw pen foster and I am following her steps cause I also want to do big things with my life.

Each and every school presents itself with new opportunities for their students; UHS presents some of the best opportunities in the country for music students such as myself. UHS provides their students with one of the best music programs available in California. This is one of the many reasons I long to attend UHS. As a violinist I want the best way to improve, along with honing my skills and University High School is the best place to do so. In addition the small classroom, as well as the low school population sparks my interest. A high school diploma is important in my future because, it will open doors for me in life. With earning my diploma I could apply to colleges to continue my education and have a good career, it says a lot about a person. Meaning that you are well educated even if you don't go college. when teens don’t get enough sleep, they tend to not have correct judgement, lower grades, and poor safety. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommended that high schools start school no earlier than 8:30, but only 15% of US high schools currently do. Although starting school later can affect some student schedules, it would be best for their mental health and physical health, academic performance, and safety.

As you just graduated from middle school, it is time to realize you are not studying basic things anymore. The start of your freshman year is approaching. You are now becoming more mature and older and now you are about to reach another level. The start of freshman year is quite nerve-racking.. The start of my high school career was very exciting, however, I was very nervous. I had a small circle of friends and I also had upperclassmen friends who had my teachers as their own in the past and were able to help me get to know the teachers techniques very well. Joining clubs and being a part of extracurricular activities helped me get comfortable with people easier and allowed me to be myself more quick. Being a senior in high school currently, I am taking everything much more seriously and studying harder for not only school quizzes and tests, also I am preparing myself for ACT’s and SAT’s I must take to get into college. I am a Mexican American woman. I was definitely aware that coming into this college I would be a minority, but I was not really able to understand what that meant until I sat in every single one of my classes and felt that there was not one person I could relate to like I did in High School. There were girls in my bigger classes, but I can count on one hand the number of Mexican girls I have come across here at the Engineering School. Another reason I may not have been able to find friends I could relate with is I did not live on campus for financial reasons. Everyone has their own opinion on what they should do after high school whether that be college, vocational school or starting into the work force. Some people want to be engineers, nurses or even stay at home moms. I decided that going to college was the best thing for me. Even though the cost, college is important.

One thing I want to accomplish is to graduate from high school, so I can get my dream job. First of all, I want to graduate from high school. I need to be better at school by getting good grades. I want to accomplish reading class and be successful in my fluency. I will not restrict my homework. I plan to reach this goal by getting a diploma. I plan to get better at reading and writing. Asking people to help me and help my brother at school. I will perpetuate my knowledge. Finally,I will undertake pilot school. I will be capable to pass pilot school. As of October 2013, only 65.9 percent of people who graduated from high school went to college. In 2012, the number was a mere 66.2 percent, but in 2009 the percent of people reached an all time high of 70.1 percent of new graduates going to college. At the same time the Bureau Reported that 51 percent of students that did not go to college had jobs did not go to college had jobs by october, and 74 percent were in the labor force, meaning that they had a job or were looking for one. College is a necessary part of financial trouble; this trouble is solved through what comes out of the degree you get in college, How many students actually stay in college, and whether or not they think it is necessary or worth their time, which it is.

I have worked with teenagers the entire time that I’ve worked for the district and being close to their age group has helped me make a better connection with them. Several students have told me, “ You understand where I'm coming from because not to long ago you were where I was”. Many of the students that I have helped me see me not just as a Para, but as a Mentor. I have a hand full of students who are the first to graduate and attend High School in their families and throughout the course of their High School career I have been there telling them what I have done and what areas they should improve upon so that they can be better off in this big world, which to them is frightening (paying bills and taxes).

I have a lot of things to think about before i start high school. I’m dreading it , yet i’m looking forward to it. I’m looking forward to the activities and the after school activities , but i’m dreading the grades. High school will be fun,exciting , and even scary at some points.

I attend a relatively small, private, Catholic high school in northern New Jersey called Don Bosco Prep. I am involved in a variety of activities including sports, music, and various clubs and organizations. My school encouraged me to grow academically, socially, culturally, and spiritually. Our school motto is “empowering young men for life”.  I feel that my school has given me the tools to be an engaged student. The school promotes a brotherhood which has benefitted me personally. Whether a friendship forged from a study group or one formed with a teammate, each friendship brings different experiences to my life for which I am grateful.

One third of all students that enter high school don’t always graduate, therefore they become unemployed and can’t afford living. To live a better life and achieve better goals, finish school make good decisions. Graduate high school is the most important start. There are many ways to prevent high school dropouts.

to get good grades because if you do than you will pass to the next grade and then as you get older it may be hard but as long as you keep up the good work you will make it to high school.
