"Europe must prevent Greece from becoming an out-and-out catastrophe and make sure that the same fiscal 'remedy' is not applied to other weak economies" -- Franziska Brantner There are many problems facing the European Union, banking crisis, the declining in intra-European solidarity and growth crisis. Specific businesses have increased their prices in some European countries faster than the other countries, which caused the euro to become less competitive; if the euro was cracked and some countries changed to their own currency then they would be able to lower their exchange rates. Europe is walking on the steps of more progress, leading to the rise of living costs and the growth of its domestic markets and the emergence of a single currency rivaling the Dollar. Europe has become one of the strongest opinion opposing unions in the world. The start of Europe going towards a union had begun after World War II. The French gave an invitation to European countries served as the basis of a European Union. 9 countries have accepted the invitation: Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg and The Netherlands. Then it expanded and increased by accepting European countries that want to join; Denmark, Ireland and the U.K. in 1973, Greece in 1981, Spain and Portugal in 1986, and Austria, Fenland and Sweden in 1995. Now it has 28 countries.
