William Henry Harrison: A Brief Biography

John Hancock was born on January 12, 1737 in Braintree, Massachusetts. He was orphaned as a child and then was adopted by a wealthy merchant uncle who was childless. Hancock went to Harvard College for a business education. He graduated Harvard College at the age of 17. He apprenticed to his uncle as a clerk and proved to be honest and capable that in 1760, he was sent on a business mission to England. In England, he witnessed the coronation of King George III and engaged some of the leading businessmen of London.

America has long been considered a great, powerful country. From its beginning, the United States had the potential to be something revolutionary. The idea of a democracy was, in the 1700’s, strange. While many men are regarded as key elements in the birth of America, one man stands out, despite his sometimes being overshadowed by fellow Founding Fathers. Alexander Hamilton was an immigrant, soldier, and the first Secretary of the United States Treasury, among his other contributions to America. He had dreams for his adopted country and was highly determined to see them to fruition and create a new, remarkable nation. Alexander Hamilton embodies the characteristics of an epic hero because he was a great warrior, he was capable of great deeds of strength and courage, and he is a national hero.

William Higginbotham had a wonderful life and a wonderful family. He was born on October 25, 1910 in Bridgeport, Connecticut and he grew up in Caledonia, New York. He was married three times. His three wives were Julie Ann (died when they were still married), Margret (died when they were still married), and Edna (was still alive when he died). He has two daughters and one son. Their names are Julie Schletter, Robin Clark, and the one son William, of Bellport. He has one brother and on sister. The brother’s name is John and the sister is Dorothy Osgood. William Howard Taft was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on September 15, 1857. Andrew Jackson lived until the age of seventy-eight, where he passed away at his plantation home in Nashville Tennessee. He was born on a small Ohio farm on August 20, 1833, the second of nine children of hard working parents John Harrison and Elizabeth Ramsey Harrison. In many ways Benjamin Harrison was “born to be President” because of his heritage. He was named after his great grandfather who was a member of the House of Burgesses and a signer of the Declaration of Independence. He was the grandchild of 19th President of the United States William Henry Harrison, and the descendent of many other significant political officers and patriots. Henry Clinton was born April 16, 1730, in Newfoundland, Canada. Sir Henry was the son of Admiral George Clinton and grandson of Sir Francis Fiennes Clinton, who was the 6th Earl of Lincoln. Although nobody knows much about his childhood, we know that as a young child, Henry was influenced greatly by his father. His father joined the navy before the birth of Henry, and impacted his son as he grew up. His father then became the governor of Newfoundland. Even though his father encouraged his son to join the Navy, young Clinton set sail into a military career. He rose quickly in rankings and continued to fight in war. In 1772, he married the wonderful Harriet Carter. They bared five children together. Sadly, while giving birth to the fifth child, Harriet passed away.

After already writing In the Heights, Miranda’s first musical to win the Tony of Best Musical, and cowriting music for another Broadway musical, Bring it On!, he shook the world by writing the hit musical Hamilton: book, music and lyrics by Mr. Miranda, in addition to him originating the role of Alexander Hamilton. From that point on, Miranda’s career skyrocketed.
