In order to first appreciate something, we must like what we see, we eat with our eyes, judge the cover of a book before devouring a novel, so a play should not be any different. The props, lighting and little touches messed together to create a beautiful, well presented stage. As a brilliant performance should, we were taken away from the seats of civic theatre and into the word of hamlet itself. Everything was amazingly realistic. It was only the intermission that brought us back to reality.

It was the many losses faced by Hamlet in his life filled with extreme tragedies that forced him to avenge his father’s death from Claudius”.“In ‘Hamlet’, a play by William Shakespeare; the protagonist, Hamlet throughout the play is perceived to be mad however Hamlet’s insanity was more than an act. Hamlet's father's ghost sent him on a mission to kill Claudius to avenge his death, he tried to go but he kept hesitating back and forth. Each Act is filled with wonderment, but Act V is unforeseen. The amount of eye-opening secrets revealed directly and indirectly is completely unbelievable. Laertes is keen on getting his revenge by stabbing Hamlet with a poisoned rapier, along with Claudius tying loose ends together by poisoning the drink they think Hamlet will consume. However, Act V does not go as planned, or so it seems. Queen Gertrude drinks to Hamlet, but happens to bring the poisoned cup to her lips. Claudius warns her once, but does not go further, which is odd to say the least. Whenever Gertrude collapses, she confesses she drank poison. Everyone is to believe that this was accidental, and that Gertrude knew nothing of the plan to kill Hamlet. However, this cannot be the case whatsoever.
According to Aristotle’s definition, a true “tragic hero” must have several characteristics which include nobleness, meaning he/she must be of a royal family, a hamartia, a tragic flaw, and a reversal of fortune brought on by the hero’s tragic flaw. And finally the discovery of recognition that the reversal was caused by the characters' own actions. Although arguments can be made against Hamlet being a tragic hero, as stated in Aristotle’s definition he is in fact a true tragic hero.

So in this scene he warns his friends that he will put on an "antic disposition"—i.e., pretend to be a madman.
So what is sanity? What is it insanity? There are many definitions of sanity and insanity. In general, sanity is known as having a control over the mind that secrets rational thoughts. On the other hand, insanity is when the mind begins to come up with strange things that make no sense. In the play, Hamlet is seen as a sane person, because he plans his “act” of insanity, other characters believe that he is sane, and he has a logical conscience/thinking.

When Laertes discovers that his father is dead, he is outraged. When Hamlet learns from the ghost of his father’s murder, he weeps, and promises action, though he delivers none. Both Laertes and Hamlet grieve deeply for their fathers, but Laertes acts upon this grief while Hamlet carefully plots his revenge and waits for the perfect moment to avenge King Hamlet. There is major a difference between a ghost and a demon. To some, they are one in the same nut, if you were to truly take a glance at what sets them apart from one another, it would be as clear as night and day. According to a few ancient religions, such as Shinto, the Japanese system of beliefs, they feel as though spirits will remain on earth after a person dies. The term for these spirits is “Kami”, meaning “a sacred power or force” (BBC.co.uk). “Ujigami, the ancestors of the clans: in tribal times, each group believed that a particular kami was both their ancestor and their protector, and dedicated their worship to that spirit” or “The souls of dead human beings of outstanding achievement” (BBC.co.uk). King Hamlet could easily fall into either one of these categories.
