Introduction

Wilmar International Limited had it’s headquarters in Singapore, founded in the year 1991.Today it is Asia’s leading agribusiness group and ranked amongst the largest listed companies by market capitalisation on the Singapore Exchange.

Wilmar’s business activities include oil palm cultivation, oilseed crushing, edible oil refining, sugar milling and refining, specialty fat, oleochemical, biodiesel, fertiliser manufacturing and grain processing. Over the years, Wilmar has established a comprehensive sales and distribution network reaching out to traditional retail outlets, supermarkets, convenience stores and hypermarts.

Fertilizer

Wilmar engages in the manufacturing and sale of fertilisers which complements it’s core business as the customers of this business are also their suppliers of fresh fruit bunches, crude palm oil and palm kernel. As such, we they are able to tap on a captive market as well as minimise credit risk and logistic costs. The bulk of fertiliser outputs is sold in Indonesia where they are one of the largest fertiliser producers. In 2010, they expanded the sale of fertiliser into Malaysia, the Ivory Coast, Ghana and Uganda.

Wilmar produces nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NPK) compound fertilisers and is also engaged in the merchandising of straight fertilisers such as potash, phosphate and nitrogen, and trace element products.

Shipping
