I am complaining about the Woodstock Job corps. The building is old and the ceiling keeps leaking. It is very disgusting. In the morning sometimes I have to change my outfit because of the dirty water leaking on me. This causes me to be late for class because it’s taking up extra unexpected time. I would like for corporate to come and inspect the buildings here and fix the plumbing. I hope this can be done this month.
My favorite place to visit is Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. There are so many fun and exciting places to visit and beautiful sites to see. Pigeon Forge is famous for the Dollywood Amusement Park. Here a person can ride a fast dropping roller coaster that makes them feel like a soaring eagle or they can brave the rapids on a water raft. If death defying rides are too much to handle, then visit one of the many comedy shows the town has to offer. The comedy shows are full of side splitting jokes, hilarious skits, and small animals dancing around in funny costumes. At these shows musicians are strumming away on the banjo to some good old mountain music while the cloggers keep in time with the fast paced rhythm. After a day of
First, a good place to stop and go visit is in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (TN). Pigeon Forge gets at least 47 inches of rain per year. Snowfall is around 6 inches. Precipitation is approximately about 90%. On average, there are 206 sunny days per year in Pigeon Forge, TN. The July high is around 88 and the January low is around 28. Pigeon Forge is filled with the kind of flashy family fun that kids love. From miniature golf, go-karts, and bumper boats to waterslides, laser games, and an indoor skydiving simulator, the attractions can keep the family busy for days. The biggest draw as far as attractions go is the Dollywood Amusement and Water Park. It’s packed with more than 30 rides and attractions and has grown into one of the nation’s most popular

In order to talk about the Freedom Summer project, we first have to identify it’s roots and the history behind it. Before the Freedom Summer project, there was the civil right movement in which thousands of African Americans protested for equality. Equality didn’t mean the term referred in the court case Plessy vs Ferguson “separate but equal.” African Americans wanted to end the era of segregation, this include not having to use lower quality public facilities than whites, not having to give their seats in a bus if a white person wanted to sit there, and the right to vote. With the help of different civil right activist such as Bayard Rustin, Jo Ann Robinson, Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, and all the people that marched and protested against
outs, and a lot more examples. People from the surrounding areas would gain from this
Close your eyes and imagine yourself back to the time of reconstruction after the civil war. Your a freed slave, who is still seen as dirty rotten scum. You can't find a occupation because nobody is willing to hire a former slave.Thats where the Freedom Bureau comes in, built to help former slaves and poor whites fit into the reborn society after the civil war.The Freedom Bureau did the best they could to help former captives and poor whites. They supplied medicine and food, made colleges like Fisk,Howard,Hampton university's and Missisppi in 1816.
In my opinion, what the Minnesota State Fair means to people is tradition. Families go to the state fair every year to have that one last adventure with their kids before school starts up again. Its a place where people know they can find something that everyone in their family will enjoy eating because of all the many options available. Also, parents know that with all the many games, rides, and venues available that everyone will find something they can enjoy as a family for one true last memory until next summer.
Taking a bus to Little Rock gives you the freedom to absorb the scenic views and enjoy the company of the person you are with. In essence, it lets you spend quality time with your loved ones without the distraction of having to keep your attention on the other drivers on the road. GOGO Charters, a charter bus company, exists so that they can take people to cities across the country. The advantage of hiring a bus company is how they will do the legwork for you. Because many of the bus drivers have been traveling for long periods, they know how to point out the best destinations in the city.
The Prairie Meadows Scholarship will help me to pursue an education at the University of Iowa. With the money given I would use it to earn a degree in engineering or a degree dealing something with the law. My favorite subjects in High School were math and science. My whole life math has always come easy to me and for some odd reason I have a passion for math. During my Junior year of High School I took my second physics class and gained an interest in physics. Besides math and science, when I was a young boy I always dreamed of becoming a police detective, I used to run around the house pretending I was getting all of the “bad guys”. Now a days I also find being a lawyer fun and intriguing. I plan on earning my degree and graduation college.
Every year people like to take a little vacation to get away from everything. They like to go to the nearest beach, go to a state on the other side of the country, or go visit a completely different country on the other side of the world. They like to look a nature’s beauty from a different viewpoint or taste a different cuisine that they never had before. In my opinion, my favorite place to go on vacation is the mountains. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg to be exact.
In today’s society, a good quality education is an important and valuable necessity. As a college student at Lone Star College, my college experience has greatly influenced me in an enormous amount of ways. By attending college, I have not only had a chance to receive a quality education and degree, but also an opportunity to socialize and interact with various people from different cultures. In addition, the professors on campus have been extremely helpful towards teaching me to succeed in both inside and outside the class room. Furthermore, my college experience at Lone Star has greatly influenced and encouraged me to be successful and achieve my dream of becoming a doctor.
Camp Ozark and its partner youth group, Ozone helped me in high school to develop my relationship with The Lord and my purpose to serve Him. The leaders and counselors that I knew encouraged me and guided me as I got to know Jesus. They are one of my biggest influences in wanting to do ministry in college and after. My relationship with my dad was something that hindered my self-perception and my relationship with Jesus. We had a tough relationship, as he fought a lot with my mom and also dealt with depression. I had a hard time understanding God as a perfect father, but over time I have come to learn what it means to have a perfect Heavenly Father, one that loves me unconditionally and rejoices in me. I have always had high expectations for
The Sojourner House was by far the most enjoyable field trip that I have gone on with my Human Rights and Global Justice Class. Right when we got there the worker had us do a role-play scenario of the actual routine homeless people face when coming to the Sojourner House. First, we all got dealt a card; the reason for this is to let people in, in a random order so it’s not always the same person first. When we lined up inside, we all got breathalyzed and then we put our belongings in a tiny bin.
When people think of the kern county fair, they ordinarily think of rides, food, maybe concerts. But when I think of the fair, I think about the animals, about showing animals. For five years I have showed goats at the kern county fair. But there are many animals that people show like pigs, cattle, sheep, goats, horses, llamas, alpacas, and bunnies. Then there is the poultry which is chickens, geese, ducks, turkeys, and even pigeons. You probably never heard of someone doing something like this, but let me tell you this it is done all over the united states. During a livestock show there is an exhibitor (me) and they are exhibiting an animal, and that animal is judged on traits specific to that animal. I’m doing something unique, when I show
Don not ignore leaky plumbing fixtures as it will escalate in a very costly emergency plumbing exercise and waste litres of water as well as result in unnecessary damages.
