In order to talk about the Freedom Summer project, we first have to identify it’s roots and the history behind it. Before the Freedom Summer project, there was the civil right movement in which thousands of African Americans protested for equality. Equality didn’t mean the term referred in the court case Plessy vs Ferguson “separate but equal.” African Americans wanted to end the era of segregation, this include not having to use lower quality public facilities than whites, not having to give their seats in a bus if a white person wanted to sit there, and the right to vote. With the help of different civil right activist such as Bayard Rustin, Jo Ann Robinson, Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, and all the people that marched and protested against
Many people don’t know the importance of Red ribbon week, starting with the fact that it is about drugs. Most kids don’t know any type of drugs except smoking. Well, smoking isn’t the only type of drug, there are many types of drugs such as Cannabis,
In my opinion, what the Minnesota State Fair means to people is tradition. Families go to the state fair every year to have that one last adventure with their kids before school starts up again. Its a place where people know they can find something that everyone in their family will enjoy eating because of all the many options available. Also, parents know that with all the many games, rides, and venues available that everyone will find something they can enjoy as a family for one true last memory until next summer.
Camp Ozark and its partner youth group, Ozone helped me in high school to develop my relationship with The Lord and my purpose to serve Him. The leaders and counselors that I knew encouraged me and guided me as I got to know Jesus. They are one of my biggest influences in wanting to do ministry in college and after. My relationship with my dad was something that hindered my self-perception and my relationship with Jesus. We had a tough relationship, as he fought a lot with my mom and also dealt with depression. I had a hard time understanding God as a perfect father, but over time I have come to learn what it means to have a perfect Heavenly Father, one that loves me unconditionally and rejoices in me. I have always had high expectations for

The Sojourner House was by far the most enjoyable field trip that I have gone on with my Human Rights and Global Justice Class. Right when we got there the worker had us do a role-play scenario of the actual routine homeless people face when coming to the Sojourner House.
When people think of the kern county fair, they ordinarily think of rides, food, maybe concerts. But when I think of the fair, I think about the animals, about showing animals. For five years I have showed goats at the kern county fair. But there are many animals that people show like pigs, cattle, sheep, goats, horses, llamas, alpacas, and bunnies. Then there is the poultry which is chickens, geese, ducks, turkeys, and even pigeons. You probably never heard of someone doing something like this, but let me tell you this it is done all over the united states. During a livestock show there is an exhibitor (me) and they are exhibiting an animal, and that animal is judged on traits specific to that animal. I’m doing something unique, when I show
Attending Minnesota State University- Mankato has been one of the greatest decisions I have made thus far. Although it has been an incredible experience, I still have some fears, concerns and anxieties about being a student here at MSU.

Last week on August 4, I went to Veteran of Foreign War (VFW) on Azle to meet up with my sergeant who came to Texas for his vacation. I didn’t realize VFW is full of veterans and soldiers that enjoy singing. Even though they are not professional singers, the place is still pack with excitement due to young soldiers and elder veterans taking turn singing, playing different types of instruments and singing different types of songs.
I walked down the hall, a trail of water followed me as I dripped from head to toe in wet clothes. Since I didn't drive to school today I’d have to wait
Don not ignore leaky plumbing fixtures as it will escalate in a very costly emergency plumbing exercise and waste litres of water as well as result in unnecessary damages.
Taking on the role of the Outreach Coordinator in the Talon Industries robotics team means that I have the chance to sharpen my management and organizational skills while also enhancing my social abilities. My responsibilities for our team include distributing information (via email) to students, counselors or advisors who seek to work with our robotics team, coordinating event dates and locations, recording each event, etc. I have always thought that schools (although schools are slowly advancing) lack courses dealing with learning about the studies of robotics, yet our modern world is advancing with technology and robotics is becoming increasingly prominent. Thus, my incentive for pursuing the role of the Outreach Coordinator was my desire to create and organize opportunities for students who have a curiosity for robotics or for students or be the spark that ignites a younger student’s passion for robotics. From my extensive research and meticulous planning, I am able to accomplish
