This report will analyse a management problem in the case study “The Woolworths’ Management success story” (3) and will identify problems with the previous CEO of the company, Roger Corbett’s management style.

This created a culture of workers not being responsible or accountable to solve problems that are not defined within their functionreference.
Lastly, because Corbett’s staff was not experienced in decision making and did not understand the effect of decisions on the success of the company, all the intellectual property of the company was centred on Corbett himselfreference. This would have been detrimental to the company if Corbett suddenly left the company in an unplanned way.so much of what is said here is assumed. There are four main managerial styles and for one to be considered ideal for a particular company, it would depend on the staff of the company and the culture of the company (6). Roger Corbett used an autocratic management style through his years as CEO, combined with his efforts led to a major success as revenues doubled and profits quadrupled. His management style worked within the company and agreed with the company’s culture. It wasn’t a disadvantage
