Introduction This essay will use Paul & Elder (2008) as a guide to give Joseph Jerdee feedback on his research plan. It will review clarity, accuracy, precision, relevance, depth, breadth, logic, significance and the fairness of the research plan.
Clarity
Joseph, the essay clearly states what the research intends to accomplish. Further, it gives good foundational information on what workplace bullying means and demonstrates that it affects both males and females.
Accuracy
The claims that are made in the essay about the types of bullying are supported by scholarly evidence. Add to this, you do a good job highlighting the different types of bullying that may exist in organizations. This is a big call out as many people may not even be aware …show more content…

It is easy to conceptualize some level of bullying will exist in organizations as long as people come together from differing points of views. There will always be some level of competition as that is a human trait. Like all human traits, if unchecked, they can spiral out of control and cause bad situations, thus creating a need for organizations such as the Workplace Bullying Institute.
Depth
The essay brings up some interesting ideas and facts about workplace bullying and shows evidence to support your ideas.
Breadth
Joseph, the essay does demonstrate breath. It is interesting that you see workplace bullying a factor that business have to consider when hiring people. Could this idea stem from the work environments that you have been exposed to? I have to say, as a person in management that hires people all the time, I never really put thought into the role that I should play to prevent workplace bullying from happening in my company. I am not even aware if this is an issue at my company. You have given me food for thought.
Logic

There may be ideas and best practices that may be found as a result of this study that will help to further efforts to minimize workplace bullying.
Fairness
The research appears to be fair in the approach as it will be done through a questionnaire. There appears to be a large enough group to gather information. However, is the group diverse enough as the questionnaire is only being administered to one organization?
Conclusion
