Workforce diversity is a major factor in small and big organizations. Some organizations have created workforce activities to promote diversity and differences. Although there is no way to define workforce diversity, these programs and activities are making positive results in organizations. Workplace diversity is a way to define behaviors of employees to acceptable or not. Diversity shows how employees may not or may be similar or different. Some differences in character observed are: disability, national origin, religion, color, sex, age, or any other differences. The way organizations define diversity may determine how successful the organization is.
The EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity) was formed by the government to ensure that all everyone has an equal opportunity for employment, regardless of sex, race, religion, color, disability, national origin, or age. They believe workplace diversity is crucial to maintain balance in companies, making sure that individuals are characterized by their differences and similarities. The need for a diverse workplace is backed by the need to cooperate with the legislation of anti-discrimination puts a huge demand on companies. The EEO is in place to help those that feel unequal or treated different to have the opportunity to succeed just as much as his or her coworker.
The impact of diversity in the workplace is dependent upon several factors. Across companies diversified workforces are becoming ever more common. To successfully
