In this task, I will explain how my care workers implement the care values when caring for my chosen service user using examples.
Being able to communicate with various different people is vital when working in the care industry. Communication between the service users and staff is the most obvious and important. However, communication has to take place between staff and the family of the service users. This is because having a bond with the family as well as the child allows both participants to feel more comfortable in the environment and ensures the family that their child is in a good place. It is also crucial that colleagues are able to communicate at a sufficient standard as well. The reason for this is that when working with people who need care can be very stressful at times, therefore not getting along with a colleague may cause more stress within the care setting.

Nordstrom’s employees and management are the company’s most valuable resource. An article written in the Seattle PI describes exactly why this is true. It states that, “Nordstrom salespeople make decisions as if managing their own business; they are trusted to do what is right. Everyone else in the company is there to help the sales staff make the sale and please the customer” (Mulady, 2009). The way the employees are treated and valued is a perfect portrayal of the company’s mission of providing the best possible customer service and value to the customer.
The way these skills are used changes from care setting to care setting but the same general rules and the way they affect the client are still the same. To build a professional relationship with a client or care user a care worker uses these skills to create a comfortable atmosphere and to show the client that he/she is interested in what that client has to say. This allows the client to feel comfortable with the carer meaning that the client will talk to the care worker, feel confident, relaxed and valued as a person. It is important to treat everyone as an individual not as a group, this is because not everyone needs or wants the same attention, it is important not to stereotype. This is when a person has a fixed way of thinking involving generalisations and the expectations about a certain group of people or issues.
Others people may be able to provide useful information to support you in your work and you may be able to provide useful information to support them in being part of the individual’s lives. This is good partnership working. If there are communication difficulties with service users a carer or family member can share information with you about how you can best communicate with an individual.
A union is an organization of workers who join together in order to have a voice in improving their jobs and the quality of work within the organization. In many occasions, unions help employees of an organization negotiate pay, benefits, flexible hours and other work conditions that may arise. Unions have a role because some degree of conflict is inevitable between workers and management (Noe, 2003). In this paper, I will be discussing the impact of unions and labor relations within an organization.
