Dherice Flowers Light Ahead of the tunnel A Czech woman who survived a concentration camp once said “the war ended the way a passage through a tunnel ends” (727). World war 2 was one of the deadliest wars in western Europe. The twentieth century was one to remember in Europe so much went on causing trouble to People and economy physically and mentally. WWII Impacted the western civilization positively for the future. Although the battle lasted over 6 years, after the war things started to get better and the economy and people were building and growing for western Europe. Europe went through an Economic Renaissance after the war that helped them in the future, many countries helped such as the United States with the Marshall plan. The formation of NATO helped prevent another world war from braking out. The holocaust also changed the view people had on Jews today many Jewish people stay in Europe without being questioned or criticized Although WWII was a bad time it helped better Europe. WWII was a major event that changed the future of Western Civilization. It was the second world war that lasted from 1939-1945. Many of the world’s nations were involved including all of great powers which were split into the Allies and the Axis. WWII involved more than 100 million people from over 30 countries, it left over 60 million people dead including over 11 million people alone being killed from the holocaust. Hitler is to blame for this catastrophe, once he became in power in 1933
