In order for me to be competitive for this career I must gain extensive experience in this field. I know that my grades and most of my skills allow me to qualify for this position but that doesn’t matter in most cases. In order for me to stand out I know that I must get more involved in a hospital care setting. I have only been volunteering in a hospital for six months now and I feel that more years of experience will allow me to enhance my knowledge. I as well plan on joining the club called HASA for networking and making more connection and using them in my work
In my time volunteering at the hospital, I hope to gain many different experiences. However, there are a few main ones: adaptation through enrichment and dependability. First of all, I want to get to know and adapt to the environment of the hospital and learn how different processes work. This is a crucial part of being in the atmosphere of a clinic. Also, the experiences that I will have at the hospital will help me to understand the routines and entailments of the career I would like to pursue. I hope to become a Physician’s Assistant in the future and this will be the best way to know if it is the right position for me. This enrichment of my understanding will help guide my passion for this career path and hopefully strengthen it.
P3: describe the potential effects of discriminatory practices on those who use the health and social care service.

I organize the patients sign up forms and sometimes I clean the beds, change sheets and pillow covers for patients’ rooms. I answer phone calls and receive food deliveries for the staff. The skills I hope to learn are patients’ services, how to deal patients when they are in trouble, remain be patient in critical situations

Caring for the same patients’ each week and can be exhausting at times. I want to care for a variety of patients each day. I need a change and I want to enhance my knowledge. Most people say, starting on a Med-Surg floor will give me a lot of experience. Although that may be true, I am glad I had the opportunity to work on this unit for 240 hours, but I need a change.
Being a minority in the United States has and will possibly always been a struggle. With the economy being in shams and minimum wage becoming career, minorities have multiple issues that society is unaware especially in health care. A large percent of minorities are the majority of workers of America, in which requires the most of the health care distribution. But are they receiving the proper access to health care and prescription access based on their ethnicity/race? Discrimination and racism continue to be a part of the unbalancing inequality in society and have adversely affected minority populations, and the health care system in general. Analyzing some of the racial disparities in health care among Americans are modifications in both need and access. Minorities are most likely to need health care but are less likely to receive health care services, including proper drug access.
