The citizens of the United States help majorly before the war and during. For example, the 14 million Women work about twenty-five percent of the nation’s labor force. During the war in 1945 that number jump about five million and rose about five percent (New Roles For Women during WW2 1st paragraph). Even though women didn’t get paid as much as men they still wanted to help America better again make people dream about it how great it is. The Women didn’t fight in the war, (although some did) instead they worked in munitions factories, shipyards, and offices(New Roles For Women during WW2 2nd paragraph) they still managed to make a big impact on the war. With the U.S. Desperate for more workers so they decided to make propaganda directed to Women such as “Rosie the Riveter”
What really pulled the United States into WWII was an attack on Pearl Harbor. Wanted so badly to stay out, the US joined WWII on December 8th by Declaring war with Japan. This started the end of the Ironic WWI, “War to End All Wars”. The reasons Japan attack Peral Harbor Sunday, December 7th, 1941 is debated and talked about. The Reasons Japan Attacked Peral Harbor were because of Japanese Expansion, a need for oil and an expansion to the US American Fleet.
II. Why did the U.S join World War II and who were they align with?
The United States finally joined World War II when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on December 7, 1941, although World War II started on September 1, 1939. People from all over the United States started to enlist help fight the war. Although Native Americans were previously treated very poorly by the Americans, they too enlisted in the military. The United States was with the Allied powers of the world including Britain, France, Soviet Union, China, etc. fighting against the Axis powers Germany, Italy, and Japan.
USA got into ww2 because of Pearl Harbor. The Japanese bombed the station on December 7, 1941. They came in with 353 Imperial Japanese fighter plains, bombers, and torpedoes. They damaged 8 Battleships, and 4 of them sunk. Almost 2,400 people were killed.
Before the United States joined World War II in response to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the great battle had been raging in Europe since 1939. While the British and Russians struggled against the German Reich, the United States remained officially neutral and refused to enter the war.
While world war two was happening, we were fighting against Germany, Italy, and Japan or the Axis Powers. The United States got pulled into the war because of Japan attacking Hawaii at Pearl Harbor killing 2335 Americans. The United States wanted to stay neutral from the war and not be involved at all until they were directly attacked or threatened. According to visitpearlharbor.com “A poll taken in 1939, after the outbreak of war showed 94% as being against going to war.” this quote is showing that almost all of America did not want to go to war at all, but this changed after the Pearl Harbor attacks. After the attack, most of America wanted to go to war with Japan, and going to war with Japan also meant we would have to go to war with Italy, and Germany since they were in an alliance.
The United States entered the Second World War because of Pearl Harbor. On December 7th, 1941 the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor in the hope of destroying the United States navy. There was supposed to be two attacks on Pearl Harbor that day. The first attack was to take out the U.S ships and airfields. The second attack was supposed to destroy drydocks and oil reserves so that the U.S can not rebuild the ships. It would have taken the U.S three years to rebuild the ships but Japan did not carry out the second attack, therefore, the U.S was able to rebuild the ships in six months instead of three years. On December 8, 1941, the U.S declared war on Japan and in return both Germany and Italy declared war on the United States.
America joined WWII in 1941 after an attack on Pearl Harbor. Although President Roosevelt had wanted to join the war from the beginning, America remained neutral. This was because the American people were opposed to war and the government needed an incident in order to join without angering the public. Pearl Harbor created the perfect excuse and soon the entirety of America was ready to join the fight. During WWII, there were hard losses on both the Allies and Axis powers and new weapons created horrors.
The events of WWII destroyed economies, homes and lives. What was most impacted was the survival of the Jews, 6 million, or more, people were killed in the crossfire and in multiple concentration camps. The second world war had one of the worst slaughter events, the holocaust. I believe that another holocaust will happen, and we will be so caught up in our, “kardashian” lives that we will give the victims the blind eye. To support my opinion, you would need to examine the past, the present and, the hopefully evitable, future.

USA before the bombing of pearl harbour had already begun to sever ties with the growing country Japan. The USA also sent reinforcements and supplies to allied countries. September 1, 1939, was the day that Germany invaded Poland. Germany was seeking back territory that had been lost in World War I. On September 3, 1939, after Poland had been invaded, Germany and Great Britain declared war. Some historians may even go back to 1931, when Japan invaded Manchuria, but this did not fully-scale the war. The United Stated did not enter the war until Dec 7, 1941. This event did not take place until one of our military forts in Hawaii was bombed. This particular bombing is most commonly known as the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Most American did not want to get involved with the ongoing war in Europe. Despite the United States best efforts to stay out of it, they were forced to join after the attack on Pearl Harbor, thus, resulting in their late entrance to the war. Many Americans felt disrespected and attacked. Such attacks lead the United States to stand up for them and take a stand for their country, such acts resulted in the six year war. The united states became the strongest nation in the world, thus being named the “good war” due to the outcome of the “good vs. evil” war, economical status, military strength, women being put to work and the African Americans fighting part of war they were already in after the World war II ended.
As stated by Albert Einstein, “As long as there are sovereign nations possessing great power, war is inevitable.” A German dictator’s political manipulations before the Second World War began secured him absolute power. The invasion of Poland during the war, and the formation of the United Nations after the war. World War II was essential for the historical events that occurred in that time.
