In my junior year of high school, I took a class called “Bigger Than You”, which allowed us students to create a non profit organization. The group I was part of founded and ran a non profit organization to provide relief to leprosy victims and orphans in India. We named our organization, “Touch the Untouchables” to symbolize the status of leprosy victims throughout the third world. They are not viewed as people at all, they are largely shunned by their communities. Leprosy victims are a forgotten people, so we took advantage of our great opportunity to provide some much needed aid to them. It was a sobering experience. Connecting myself to the lives of the impoverished lifted the veil shrouding my middle class existence from the adversity

The destruction left in its wake would not only have us rebuilding and piecing together our governments, cities, and economies; but our humanity as well. A humanity that was shattered in the face of consequence and a confrontation of our darkest depths of humanity; the act of war. Word of human violation spread like wildfire post world war in occupation and battle hotspots. Happenings most inane, so inhumane, they were be hard to believe that they were true. Fortunately, the spread of globalization along with the after effects of war prompted nation leaders to convene and build together a framework, a concept of Human Rights. This very act prompted Non-Governmental Organizations that watchdog and protect the interest of our basic rights to arise. The weakest and most innocent among us requires the most protection. I believe that undocumented people should not be given amnesty unless they’re children. I personally, have families back home waiting to come to United States legally while the undocumented people could just come to the United States, in couple of days. But from the undocumented immigrant's perspective they’re simply trying to start a better life.

Being with an organization which is committed to providing assistance to families in impoverished towns is very generous. Although, there is a concern I would like to address regarding using certain data we are using in our annual reports. The company uses pie charts to display data and prefers one type of pie chart over the other. I feel that we should use the pie chart which demonstrates the percentages.
In the amnesty process in the TRC, as previously stated to reach reconciliation, the perpetrators were to confront the committee and the victims and discuss, in detail, their crimes.
