As a teacher, one of my main roles is to motivate my learners, to develop their ability to learn also to develop my learner’s aspiration to learn. When you train to teach you read about delivering training and how to facilitating learning, but in reality you do much more than that, your role as a teacher is not just about teaching your subject or preparing learners for assessment. The focus of your role as a teacher I feel relates very much to inspiring your learners to change and develop their personal, social and professional skills to the best of their
My passion runs deep for education. Currently as a principal, creating a culture of career and college ready students is a necessity for me. Preparing our youth to be studious, independent critical thinkers and resilient is a big task. I should be able to undertake effective teaching and strategies to allow learners to make progress. The area they are working and assessing or evaluating will identify if the aims and learning outcomes have been understand and achieved.
Albert Einstein once said, “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” This quote describes the responsibilities and standards of teaching children. I believe that teachers should be held to high standards for being the foundation of a student’s education and well-being. For my future students, my responsibilities as a future educator include supplementing the growth of a variety of students’ knowledge and creativity, abiding as a role model for students and colleagues, and understanding the issues in the foundations of education.
Throughout my educational career, I have observed and learned different techniques from my teachers and professors that will influence my future classroom. Numerous teachers have impacted my educational career allowing me to become a more confident student as well as a future teacher. These teachers have critiqued, assisted, and encouraged me to reach my highest potential, which one day I will be able to inspire my own students to reach their own potentials.
My role as a teacher is to provide activities that are mentally stimulating and that encourage personal growth. It is my responsibility to support and encourage my students as they discover themselves and their burgeoning feelings.
Teachers have the power to change the world and to make a difference in the student's life. Teacher is a facilitator of knowledge, motivator, advisor and a positive person that can improve the student's education. I decided to pursue the career of education because I have the desire to help others. I also have the ambition to provide encouragement and support to the people that need it. Becoming a teacher means more than sharing my knowledge to the students. It is a commitment with society to shape the performance and learning of future generations.
According to American politician Brad Henry believes, “A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.” As my role as the educator, it is extremely important to provide guidance and knowledge for the students within the classroom because as my role the educator, I am
Teachers invested in their student’s success and learning go beyond the label of just any teacher. Dr. Farmer is one of those teachers who are willing to go an extra mile or two to ensure success in her students. I believe that education is the key in developing today’s students into tomorrow’s leaders. Education is the basis on which individuals develop their self-concept and the desire to become more knowledgeable. I want to become an educator because I am interested in helping elementary students become active learners and also to assist with their social skills. I believe I can make a difference to many students as they start their educational foundation. I feel that all teachers should possess the desire to devote their hard work and efforts to their students’ educational success. I view teaching as not only one of the most respected careers, but also as one in which the rewards are great and many
It is the duty of the educator to prepare students to live lives of quality and purpose. Intellectually, a life of quality involves being reasonable, adept, and thoughtful, and enables people to be good citizens of their community. Skills that will prepare students to live such a life include the ability to reason carefully, to think agilely, and to reflect deeply. These skills are attained best when students evaluate how others express their thinking and precisely what thinking is expressed. The students themselves attempt to express substantive ideas in clear and convincing ways. The teacher is foremost a model of that which is taught, which obligates the teacher to live that life of quality and purpose. As a model, the teacher is therefore able to act as a guide for others, serving occasionally as a source of knowledge but mostly as one who points the way for fellow explorers.
My philosophy of teaching is deeply rooted in nurturing the potential each and every student in my classes. Providing a creative environment that allows self assessment, growth, group interaction and mentorship are at its very core. Having taught in Higher Education for many years, and as an instructor of Media Arts and Animation, and Game Design, I have had the amazing opportunity to work with some of the brightest and creative young professionals. Teaching has not only broadened my love of art and exploration, but my determination to help students that do not have the confidence to persevere through their education, yet have the passion to follow their dreams.
