For over two hundred years, challenges to Tokugawa authority were few, and this era was known as the time of Great Peace. In general, its appearance for the populace was grateful, because of a period of freedom from the warfare marked Sengoku, from the middle of 15th century to the end of 16th century. During that period, the chain of islands that makes up Japan was ruled by samurai and warlords. During the late sixteenth-century Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and finally Tokugawa Ieyasu took power in succession and finally united the whole Japan. However, the success of Tokugawa

There were other nations besides European ones that were also experiencing economic gains, cultural influence, and societal growth. This nation was Japan, and from 1603 to 1867, this nation was specifically called Tokugawa Japan. Before Tokugawa Japan, there was civil disorder within the lives of the people living there. For example, daimyos, who were feudal state rulers who had owned a vast amount of land and had a major influence on the economy and state affairs of Japan, had to hire private armies to defend their entities (Tignor et al, 505). These private trained armies were known as samurais, and were a distinctive aspect of Tokugawa Japan. This wasn’t the only set of problems that Japan
Sannai- Maruyama was a long-term settlement located in Aomori Prefecture in northern Japan. The site is made up of over 500 pit-dwellings measuring around 3-4 meters in diameter, adult burial pits, child burial jars, and pits for storage and clay mining. The pits are significant because they showed archaeologists that the inhabitants were not yet sedentary and used these pits to hide food before leaving the area. There is also roads and artifacts including pottery, clay figurines, digging sticks, tools and woven baskets and clothing (1) which is evidence to archaeologists that the area was later settled and inhabited.

The Tokugawa Period is one of the most influential periods in all of Japanese history. This era, which spanned more than two centuries, from 1603 to 1868, was a time of internal peace, political stability, strict social order, and economic growth. To some extent, it was a golden age of Japanese civilization and, today, its influence permeates almost every aspect of modern Japanese culture. Despite its preeminence, though, there are three areas of society where its presence is more relevant: the workplace, politics, and the idea of Japanese uniqueness. For better or for worse, these areas certainly would not be the same without influence from the Tokugawa era.

In this assessment task which was required to do as a group, Takudzwa and I decided to work together to produce a video clips, interview and Diagrams. To get a better result for our assessment task, we decided to divide the activities between one another so that we know who is going to do what task. I choose some of the questions to find information and sources about it. My highlighted questions were: How a customer will be transported to the station and what to expect?, what food will be available/recommended to eat on the space station and why?. How the customer will return to Earth and what to expect as part of their journey?. We end up working together presenting the information and made the interview making the questions.
