Fashion are not just simply concern as the clothing you wear, it is more about for a person to blend in the same pursuit or become one in a particular group of people. During the 8 lectures, I learnt a lot of information in the design area. The most impressive lecture is “Style and Popular taste” by Dene October. This essay follows a case-study design, with in-depth analysis of this lecture. Dene mentions about the Fashion trend system – Bubble up and Trickle down. It is interesting to see how people take fashion as an identity proves. People surrounding me are tend to buy famous luxury branding products, such as LV, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana etc. And I wonder, does a Catier watch makes any difference compare to a normal watch? The only thing I can tell is, it is a lot expansive than a normal watch. But on the functional level, that makes no different between both.
