More than 1 billion people visit YouTube on a monthly basis (Reuters). To put that in perspective, The United States only a population of 317.6 million, while the highest, China, has a population of 1.355 billion (""). Youtube has become so renowned, it has gone from a noun to a verb. Want to watch someone getting trying to do stunts but failing? YouTube it. Want to see a monkey fling it's poo at someone? Well maybe not, but yes it's probably on YouTube. Or want to learn how to do a useful task, say like how to fix a car's radiator or learn a new language? Yes, one can YouTube such videos. One great example Is Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg, or better known by his YouTube persona, Pewdiepie. While he is not allowed to disclose his wages do to contractual agreements, it is speculated that he makes from 6 to 7 figures on a yearly basis. Another YouTube content provider, Adam Montoya, or better known by his YouTube name, is another known YouTuber who also is also speculated to earn well around 6 figures by uploading content on the website, where he has been running his gaming based channel for 4 years now. Gaming channels have recently had a sudden boom in popularity, hence why some of the bigger channels are based on gaming material; but there are many other type of channels as well, some who do not care for a YouTube career, but try to use it as a stepping stone to higher grounds.
