There have been many discussions about the welfare of animals since the first zoos were created. Some people agree that animals should be kept in zoo’s, they argue that it benefits the animals because their every need is catered to. However, in some zoo’s they are treated the exact opposite of being catered to. Sometimes the animals are also deprived of a natural environment that the zoo’s fail to recreate. However, zoo’s can be helpful educationally to kids. It gives them a close up on the beauty of the animals, but it comes at the animals expense.
Joel Sartore, photographer, is the main focus in this article. Over the years Sartore has created a collection of photos that he has taken of different species of animals. These animal photos have created a movement that’s goal is to inspire people and get their attention in order to help protect the lives of animals, especially those that are threatened. This organization, Photoark, is pushing the photography of zoo animals in order to get public attention. Animal play a huge role in the balance of our planet. What Joel Sartore is trying to do is save our biodiversity by protecting animals in order to preserve the environment. Throughout the article the author explains the goals of Sartore and explains the Photoark project that is growing wildly to save animals. The awareness of these animals may just be the thing to save them and our planets
These objectives and measures that are provided to the providers and organizations are broken down into two major parts, “core” objectives and “menu” objectives. The “core” objectives are a list of fifteen items which all organizations/providers will have to attest on. Then the
The group does charity work and encourages people to donate to their association to help better lives of millions of children. The group works through family troubles as well. The JPA did not put any logos on the image because they wanted to get the main focus on the abuse and not statistics or facts. They want the audience to focus on what is actually happening so they will get the point across.
Logos is used in this image because of how the image is organized. The image is centered around the label and draws you to read the text and by reading the text, one could logically assume that this specific chicken may be healthier than some of the chickens displayed in the grocery store. The compositional choices of this image (centering of the label and blurring of surrounding parts) allow the audience to receive the stakeholders message clearly (Moxley 1). Ethos plays a role in proper analysis of this image because the label adds to the credibility of the organization and its accomplishments across the food industry. Figure two allows people to see that the Non-GMO Project has already made extensive headway in achieving their overall goal of a world free from
Organizational structure has been set up to facilitate all goal achievements. It is a way to motivate their employees and get them to work together. It also helps its employees to follow the organizations goals, and work together as a team. In order to do this, they need to have an organized structure to be able to run the company smoothly. A main foundation of every organization is to post their mission statement and goals everywhere so that their employees can see them. An organizational culture can consist of common shared beliefs and values that are established by the organization’s leader, and then communicated and reinforce through various methods, this helps shape employee perceptions, behaviors and understanding. Overall, organizational structure and culture can effect progress of many organizations in a positive and negative way.

Now there are modern zoos in almost every city in the world that boasts different arrays of animals. With all these different zoos around the world, we see different approaches on how these animals are treated and what they are subjected to.
Zoos are a dynamic educational source that enhances our community. Zoos raise awareness about jeopardized species and the significance of preservation. Zoos may help us to comprehend animals. They offer a good tool for our societies by lodging and dealing with creatures that may have been in peril at one point in their life. “100,000 kids come to London Zoo every year to learn about creatures.”[3] Usually when people come to zoos and they are taught about the conservation of some of the endangered species, a lot of these people get motivated and inspired to do something about it either by donating money or volunteering to help and so on.
Some people agree that animals should be kept in the zoo. They said it would be safer for the animals and they won’t be extinct. The amount of possibilities of them dying, shot by hunters or any other reason, still higher than the chances of their survival. Food and shelter are provided, medicine, and their breeding is being controlled. And many of the wild animals in zoos are ones that are on the endangered list as their amounts are rapidly diminishing. Letting them loose and returning them to the wild is not necessarily a safe option. (Mylot, 2007) In fact, zoo can be one of the educational studies for children and people who are interested with animals. Zoo is the only place that we can have an opportunity to see animal’s life really close and sometimes we can touch them. Zoos also provide lots of information about certain animals, children can have chance to get out of the classroom and learn so they can see natural beauty from different species of animals. Even children can see them from discovery channel but that’s really different if you see animal in real world, for an example, if you see crocodile, snake or shark in the movie, maybe you won’t afraid than you see the real one. According to Tudge, (1992, p.56) Zoos are the place where people can study animals and their habitat, even scientist don’t need to go
The World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) is the “umbrella” organisation for the world zoo and aquarium community. Whilst recognising the variation in culture and customs within which the WAZA operates, it is incumbent upon all members to exercise the highest standards of animal welfare and to encourage these standards in others. Training staff to the highest level possible represents one method of ensuring this aim.
