There are many different kinds of trains with different speeds and different purposes that we need in order to live our daily lives nowadays. There is a video on “Youtube” that list the most common trains. There is the subway, streetcar, commuter train, inter city train, high speed train, maglev, monorail, cable car, locomotive, freighttrain, and the hand car. All of theses trains are different in what their purpose is and what they do. Some of the trains transport people while other trains transport objects like food, wood and vehicles. All of these trains are different in sizes and speed. We don’t use trains as much as we use to but we still do use trains everyday. Trains are dangerous and we do not always remember that they are dangerous and will kill …show more content…
In the video, “ its your choose” the video tells how no one makes us walk or drive along train tracks. We are the ones who decide to be on the train tracks. There are signs and flashing lights to help us know that there are train tracks or a train crossing ahead. Imagine being the driver of the train coming down the rails to find someone in the way and you can’t do anything but try and warn them and try to stop. In the video “its your choose” the conductor of one of the trains tells how he had to listen to the soundsof the train hitting a body. I can’t imagine how the conductor of the train must have felt. I don’t think I could live with myself if I was the driver of the train.I have been on train tracks before, they were shut down and practicallyabandoned. I had no idea that even that could possibly be dangerous. Even driving under a train bridge could be dangerous, because you never know what could happen. After watching the videos about how to be safe and tips to keep other safe around trains you learn there is more you can do than just avoid walking on them. For example you can always watch for the trains even when the signs say they are
After watching the video Precious Knowledge, the first example of ethnic studies being threatened/ facing elimination is that senate is passing bills like 2881 that act against diversity and programs that support and culture beyond what is sought to be “fit” in the American educational system. Programs that promote ethnic studies gives students the pride and knowledge of where they have come from and therefore they feel more engaged in the classroom. Leaders like Tom Horne have the right to their own opinion but are being oppressive by not embracing the culture of different ethnic groups. By not attending these classes and trying to relate to these diverse communities; he is creating a dystopia to the American youth. Political leaders should
Also, sometimes distances were too far or too dangerous to be travelled on horse and buggy, so the railroad helped to solve this problem. Although the vehicles we use for these different types of transportation now are far more advanced, these ideas and
From reading facts and articles, along with watching videos about railroad crossings, I have learned that railroads are a lot more dangerous than we think. Some people will always try and take the shortcuts around railroads and don’t realize that it could end their lives. In the movie “It is Your Choice”, the stories about the deaths that occur on railroads really made a strong point to me to be careful. One thing I liked that it said was that even if your daily routine to get to school or work is across a railroad, don’t just assume you can make it because you do it so often. By the time you realize that you shouldn’t have tried to cross, it is too late.
Now more than ever, kids are taking dangerous risks for their short 15 minutes of fame on the internet, but it isn’t the social media’s fault. Some may say that it is social media’s fault because it’s letting kids hurt themselves for a chance at fame and isn’t stopping it. But that just isn’t the case. It’s our fault for liking, watching, and sharing the videos and skyrocketing them to popularity. It’s also the same thing as watching people perform dangerous stunts on TV, giving people fame for doing dangerous and sometimes stupid things. It is clearly our own fault that kids are harming themselves not social media’s.
Trains can be dangerous if you don't know how to be safe around them. Being safe around trains is a thing that people all around should know how to do weather that be in a vehicle, on a bike, or on foot. In the, "Utah transit Authority Operation Lifesaver" video says that, "When the guards go down and the lights start to flash just slow down and wait for the train to pass." If people would just listen to the warning signs and not try to race the trains there would be less accidents. When people race trains, if they don't make it they don't get a second chance at it. With a train you have almost no chance at survival if you get into an accident. You need to follow the signs and the warning signs to be cautious and not be stupid. Also in that
It also created a change in the industry, and allowed humans to expand. The train became a way where people transport goods and resources in matter of days instead of months. As centuries goes on and with the advancement in technology, commuter trains have evolved into more efficient and significant part of people’s live. The first trains were called locomotives.
The third video, Run, includes more symbolism. However, it is mostly focused on the relationships that the characters had with each other and their interactions together. Basically, the group can be paired off into Rap Monster and V, Suga and Jungkook, and J-Hope and Jimin. Jin does not have a partner in this. He is further differentiated from the group in this way, and in the video he still has his recording motif, as well as looking into the camera.
all you have the possibility of being hit by the train. Trains always have the right of way no matter
The TEDx Talks video, A Special Technique for our Health and Wellness, by Dr. Howard Chen, discusses how adults should use a special technique for physical play in order to improve physical, mental, and emotional health. To explain, the special technique is completely free and requires no specific equipment or cost. Moreover, it is something people already know how to do (Chen, 2014). Dr. Chen is stating people have been doing it for years and may have quit at some point in their life, however, it is a special technique that can be restarted. To illustrate, it is similar to riding a bicycle; once people learn how to ride a bicycle, they do not forget how to do it. In essence, Dr. Chen is talking about physical play. In other words, as people
The train symbolizes change from agrarian to industrialized society . This compares to Harry Potter, because when Harry travels to Hogwarts for the first time he also has to ride on a train to get to the magical school. It's ironic how the idea of travelling between worlds is portrayed by trains in both pieces of art. The trains signified entry into a new age, for both Third World Countries and Harry Potter. Both new “worlds” would hold positive and negative consequences for their subjects in the long run. The second example showing differences between the two mediums occurs when what appeared to be illusions flashed across the screen in Reggio’s film. These video clips show a more modernized world than the poor Third-World countries that had been previously shown. This correlates to when Harry finds the the “Mirror of Erised”. When looking into this magical mirror, one sees his/ her “deepest, most desperate desire of his/ her heart”. This helps to correlate the differences between past and future. In the book, Harry sees himself with his parents, who were murdered; on this occasion the mirror showed relationship to his past. Near
“Your mind is everything what you think you become.”― Buddha. After watching a TED TALKS video recently by Stanford Professor Carol Dweck on mindsets, I took a mindset assessment and it made me think about that my mind is everything what I think I can become. Maybe after taking the mindset test you start to understand what your mood is and how you do in life and in school and education you know if you have a fixed mindset or a growth mindset.
I would follow the "Nash" strategy and open directly next to my competitor. I think the video does a great job of explaining why this theory follows the real world. It does theoretically make sense to open a new business away from a competitor so that customers can more quickly get to your store. However, in the real world, you can see that aggressive competition will mean that companies end up next to each other
I'm not sure if you would call it a video series, but the BuzzFeed videos I enjoy the most are the ones in which societal norms are switched. For example "If Men Were Treated like Women in the Workplace."
Before each PE class, we each came prepared. We set a target for what we would like to have finished filming during our 80 minute or 50 minute periods, to work as efficiently as possible. We were organised as a group, because we didn't forget to bring in the necessary equipment required for the video.
YouTube has become the most popular video sharing website. It has variety of functions that enable a virtual organization to operate and have different kinds of virtuality impact. To compare with the other similar enablers, it has strengths and weaknesses.Advertising and marketing is the most significant one. You also can gain different technology impact from it. From the Web Reviews, we can see there are a lot of merits of YouTube. However, the copyright infringement is still the important problem of it.
