Zebb Quinn was an eighteen year old male who disappeared extremely mysteriously on January 2nd, 2000, and his case is filed on “Endangered Missing”. The circumstances of his disappearance is the reason why this case is so famous and also why it has remained unsolved. With three suspects, no body, and vague evidence, this specific case has befuddled investigators. One suspect, Robert Jason Owens, has overwhelming evidence supporting his guiltiness and he likely murdered the young Zebb Quinn. Zebb Quinn was a young man, who, after leaving the Wal-Mart he worked at, was never seen again. His body has never been discovered, yet his vehicle was found outside a local restaurant with peculiar items located inside the car. A jacket which didn’t belong …show more content…
Misty Taylor was a young woman that Zebb was romantically interested in and Wesley was her lover; he was abusive, according to Zebb. The reasons why these two are suspects in this case is because of motive and a questionable alibi; though, they aren't as suspicious as Owens. First of all, Wesley had found out about the way Zebb and Misty were talking with each other and his motive could have been pure jealous, which is common in murder cases. Secondly, Zebb's aunt, who's home is where the page came from, was going into business with Misty's mother and conveniently gave Misty and Wesley an alibi. According to Isa, Zebb's aunt, she was at dinner with the Taylors and Smith the night of the disappearance. Her explanation for the page was that someone broke into her house, but didn't steal anything and simply moved some photos. Isa's alibi is unreliable, due to the relationship with Taylor's mother; also, her story of the burglary is highly unlikely. Lastly, some eyewitnesses saw a woman who looked just like Misty in Zebb's car, but pictures of her and a reward had already been put out so they are unreliable sources. Even though Misty and Wesley are quite shady, Owens has more incriminating

“America’s Unknown Child” has been an unsolved and mysterious case for over 60 years of a young boy who was murdered and found inside of a cardboard box in the woods. Many detectives and investigators searched for any records and ran DNA analysis of the boy that could indicate who he was and where he came from. After over 60 years of conducted research and long investigations, there is only one possible solution to the tragic murder of this boy.
Adnan Syed, a senior in Woodlawn High School, was convicted and charged with the first-degree murder of his ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee in 1999. Not only is Adnan’s alibi inconclusive, but he also fails to recall any specific details or occurrences of January 13th-the date Hae Min Lee disappeared. His acquaintance, Jay Wilds, has served as the State’s key witness. Despite having already served seventeen years in prison, Adnan did not murder Hae Min Lee. His innocence simply has not been captured due to missing perspectives, inconsistencies in Jay’s story, and biases in the law enforcement.
Apart from the clues given they still had one more mystery to solve and it was who the boy was. Investigators still wanted to continue with the case so they kept the boy in a morgue. Many people from 10 different stated came to look at the boy to see if he was a missing family member. Unfortunately, nobody claimed him. Foot prints and fingerprints of the boy were taken and compared to hospital records but nothing was found. 400,000 flyers of the boy were sent out and even the AMA sent out a description but nothing came through. The fact that there is no proof that the boy even existed led to many theories of who

Since 1975, the disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa has been a big subject of countless theories. Some people say he was done in by organized crime or even government agents. Over the next years, authorities have received leads as to the location of Hoffa 's remains. But Hoffa’s body has not yet been recovered. But something came up in 2001 with DNA evidence that linked Hoffa to the vehicle that was believed to use in his crime. Also in 2012, the latest lead led authorities to a Detroit home, where a huge investigation failed to turn up any evidence. And there was another effort that was made to find Hoffa 's remains the following year. In June 2013, FBI agents

14 year old Steven Truscott gave his classmate Lynne Harper a ride on his bicycle on June 9, 1959. Truscott had dropped her off before they parted ways. Lynne was reported missing later that night, and two days later, her body was found on a nearby farm. She was sexually assaulted and strangled to death. The community was horrified by what happened to this young girl and everyone was determined to find the killer. Immediately, investigators became fixated on Truscott as the prime suspect since he was the last person to see Lynne. They didn’t consider any other suspects, even though there was no physical evidence linking him to the murder. He was arrested 24 hours later, and stood trial as an adult. (Steven Truscott |
Cold case investigation is a growing concern due to increased numbers of unsolved cases and pop culture appeal. This paper will walk you through what a cold case investigation is, how one begins, and factors such as the use of volunteers can effect the outcome of a cold case investigation. Each year the number of unsolved cases in the U.S. goes up, but with limiting funding and lack of manning something has to be done to keep the numbers down. A dedicated cold case unit is the best answer to this problem.
When the public heard of the crime, the police perilously needed someone to blame. If a slayer of the 14-year old Mary Phagan were not found soon, public uproar would become uncontrollable. The public needed a victim

" On July 29, 1994, seven year old Megan Kanka, from Hamilton Township, New Jersey, was walking home after playing at a friends house. She had almost reached her front door when Jesse Timmendequas, 33, a landscaper who had lived across the street for a year invited her over to pet his new puppy ( Richard 1 )." " When Megan followed him inside, he led her to an upstairs bedroom, strangled her unconscious with his belt, raped her and then asphyxiated her to death with a plastic bag. Timmendequas then placed Megan’s body in a tool box, drove it in his pick-up truck to a near-by soccer field and dumped her body in some bushes ( Jerome 1 )." This, and the tragic murder of Amanda Wengert, was how the name was developed. But in my paper I did not discuss the murder and raping of Amanda Wengert.
