The Sinaloa Cartel is the premier drug trafficking organization in Mexico. The cartel is based out of Sinaloa, Mexico. Unlike many of the Mexican cartels, the Sinaloa Cartel exports large quantities of multiple drugs into the United States. Pablo Escobar is considered one of the most notorious drug lords in history. Escobar’s cartel was only in charge of exporting cocaine into the United States. The Sinaloa Cartel exports cocaine, methamphetamines, and marijuana into the United States. The leader of the Sinaloa Cartel is Joaquin “el chapo” Guzman. While El Chapo is a very well-known international drug kingpin, he has proven that he is almost as good at escaping from prison. El Chapo has multiple prison escapes under his belt. He most recently escaped from the Federal Social Readaptation Center No. 1, which is a maximum security prison in Mexico.

The United States prohibits the use of narcotics such as marijuana, heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamine. The government of the United States continues to be at war preventing these drugs from being smuggled across borders, but one major supplier that causes a difficulty in that operation is known as “El Chapo”. Most underground drugs today come from a cartel in Mexico because the drugs are inexpensive (Schuppe). Throughout his life, Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman Loera has smuggled over “one million pounds of narcotics” into the United States, and backboned the United States drug market (Ware). Joaquin Guzman had a hard beginning in life, starting with his struggling childhood, which influenced him to get involved in the drug trade and led to his control over the Sinaloa Cartel, then he proved that he was the ultimate drug lord by his escapes.

After reviewing Riz Khan’s interview with Mr. Salam Al-Marayati and Mr. Jed Babbin, if there was a winner in that debate I would say Mr. Al-Marayati was the victor. Run by drug kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, the Sinaloa Cartel is the biggest player in the Mexican drug trafficking trade. “Mexican drug trafficking is estimated by analysts to be worth $13 billion US a year,” according to the Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC, 2015, par. 2). Heavily involved in the production and distribution of marijuana, cocaine and opium, the Sinaloa Cartel is also operates prostitution rings and deals in human trafficking. According to CBC, “analysts estimate that since 2006, 70,000 people have been killed in drug-related violence.” The Sinaloa Cartel is the United States Government’s biggest obstacle in the international war on drugs and its diabolical leader is once again free.

Many years later it seems there were slight tensions between the United States and Mexico. The United States pressured Mexico to become more responsive to criminal activity. After the political pressure the US was putting on Mexico, some of the drug traffickers left and fled the country. Over the following years several Mexican leaders were arrested, and detained in different states inside of Mexico. In 1989, Mexican authorities caught Miguel,who was the leader of the Guadalajara cartel (Insight Crime). During the late 1980’s, there were three groups of drug cartels. The three groups were the Tijuana based clan, the Juarez clan, and the Sinolea based clan (Insight Crime). Since the year of 2002 the mexican government has been trying to prevent these crimes the best they can. Ultimately, Animal is a person who secured his feelings very well from other people. He is an orphan. He is hurting because of that night when the chemical explosion killed his entire family. However, he never really shows sadness in his life. He purposely avoid showing pathetic sorrows and turn his unhappiness into anger. This is why other people who does not know Animal saw him as an impudent person. However, when it's come to love, loyalty, and knowledge, no one can really outsmart him even Zafar. Zafar may be a person who lead other people, there is a point when he is tried and give it all up in a day. Unlike Zafar, Animal never gives up or does not even know when to gives up. This courage heightened all of his other emotions.
