Company History
The firm was established in 1989 in Boston, Massachusetts, by the founding attorney Mark Zingham. After ten years of rapid growth, Mark Zingham began expanding his offices to New York, Europe, Asia, and South America. There are now over five firms in the United States and a combined total of ten overseas. Attorney Zingham has been able to expand his practice by partnering with other local firms in the various areas mentioned above, thereby employing many seasoned attorneys specializing in various areas of law such as family, business, finance, federal, oil and mineral rights, and international commerce. There are many concerns in the pattern of change in the distribution of income; families from the middle of the distribution of income have shifted both upward and downward. Economist Kuttner argued that this shift began as the result of the decline of well-paying jobs in the manufacturing industry and lack of unionization in growing sectors.
Another major contribution to income inequality is believed to be the rise of skill-biased technological change. Advancement in technology has increased the demand for highly educated and skilled workers; this demand has outpaced supply, therefore creating a scarcity of the highly skilled worker, which in turn employers must compete in compensation and benefits.
As the demand for skill-biased technology rises, as a result of organizations upgrading, this results in the growth of the upper tail of the distribution, thus leaving behind the less skilled workers.

The Elephant in the Room. Since the beginning of the financial crisis (year 2000), economists such as Raghuram Rajan and Joseph Stiglitz from the University of Chicago have argued that income inequality causes great damage to the economy. 1). Do nothing and continue business practices as usual. 2.) Implement environmental friendly programs in all offices. 3.) Open offices in lower income neighborhoods. 4.) Implement a program to evaluate wages of all employees periodically to help better distribute revenue of firm.
Analysis of Alternate Solutions. 1). Doing absolutely nothing different and continuing business practice as usual will keep the firm in uncertainty. Although this relinquishes the firm from spending funds in new programs, this will also harm the firm’s competitive ability both in employee retention and positioning in the market.
2). Implementing environmental friendly programs comes with many benefits such as: gaining like-minded consumers, possibly bringing in newer clients, saving the company money through the use of eco-friendly business practices, providing a healthier workplace for employees, thus reducing sick days which decrease efficiency in the workplace, and tax
