Good Afternoon I am Zipo Mangaliso, a recent journalism graduate from Staffordshire University applying for the PR and Communications intern role at West Ham United. Ever since I was a young boy I have always wanted the chance to work for a Premier League club in some capacity and when I realised my football ability alone was not going to take me there I focused on another talent of mine- sports journalism. West Ham United is one of the iconic Premier League sides and with the move to the Olympic Stadium in the summer; this is an exciting time for the club. There probably hasn’t been a better time to join the club in any department than now and as a football fan and a media professional I understand the positive significance of joining the club at this particular point. During my time at university I worked for an online news outlet called StaffsLive where I first got the chance to report on sporting events such as football manager press conferences at Stoke City and Port Vale as well as producing match reports on Stoke City U21 matches. Also whilst I was at StaffsLive I …show more content…

The Reawakening, by Primo Levi, is a sequel to his first novel, Survival in Auschwitz. It is a deeply powerful memoir of his liberation from the most brutal concentration camps of them all, Auschwitz. Published in 1946, the story of Primo Levi’s pursuit for freedom has inspired many people around the world. Levi’s quest back home to Italy was a grueling mission, from ruthless acts of the Nazi regime, the traumatic effects of imprisonment in Auschwitz and the near death experience of hunger and illness. The Holocaust brought a cloud of darkness filled with pain and despair. Very few victims of the Holocaust survived and those who did found it extremely hard to cope with the traumatic memories that the Holocaust instilled in them. Those who
When considering a journalist, the first thought is usually a reporter or an article editor for a newspaper. Staci Parks has dipped her toes in both, but today finds herself occupied with online articles and internship applications.
Throughout university I have always excelled in my subjects, especially journalism. I have taken units such as news teams, feature writing, journalism investigation and photojournalism. In my news team subject I was appointed the leader and we have so far managed to get a published outcome in the Daily Telegraph. I assisted this in the editing process, and delegating roles to the other team members. Through this I have learnt how to work in a fast paced, news team environment, leadership and confidence.

However, I feel that this would be a great opportunity for both of us. I am an energetic self-starter with the ability to produce results without close direct supervision. I have a proven record of diligent work ethic that I feel will be an asset to region 4. I assure you that If I am hired, not only would I be one of the hardest working people in the office, but would be one less thing that you would have to worry about while you are leading the region. I have attached an updated resume that is more detailed and better highlights my skills. I have also attached a writing

Thank you so much for your recent recruitment and inviting me to visit ESPN. As a graduating senior at the University of Connecticut, with the skills and experience in video production, athletics, communication, and the ability to speak both English and Mandarin fluently, I believe I can become a valuable addition to ESPN Tencent Project.
I am a strong writer with experience in nonprofit administration and a passion for social justice, and I hope to be your next assistant.
Outside of college I also have a part-time job at Primark. I feel this job has given me good decision making skills as I have learnt how to merchandise as well as ordering stock. I have also found I can work well under pressure as I often have to work to deadlines and need to manage my time well. I have found that these skills are valuable and somewhat essential when working on events. As I am a very creative person I have found Events to be a subject that suits my interests and personality. Since high school I have been interested in the arts and still enjoy painting and drawing in my spare time as well as listening to music. My experience of going to events myself has also influenced my choices for university as I have recently seen several bands play in Edinburgh and Glasgow. As music has always been an interest to me, I would be really attentive in learning more about live music events in particular and possibly being involved with organising one in the future.
