The agency is organized with many smaller branches, including National Center for
Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID), National Center for HIV/AIDS,
Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention (NCHHSTP), and also the National Center for
Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD). These are just a few of the organizations that are a part of the CDC.
The CDC provides resources concerning laboratoty safety including, but not limited to, chemical hazards, chemical safety, eye safety, protective clothing, and skin exposure and effects.

They are a branch of the Department of Health and Human Services. The CDC's focus and mission is to protect Americain health however it is threatened. An important contribution of the CDC is workplace safety. Not only does the organization monitor all industries and occupations, they also provide important information on common and uncommon diseases and injuries and teach you how to prevent injuries through the use of safety precautions. Through all of these efforts, the
CDC effectively keeps America healthy.
The CDC official website is www.cdc.gov. On this website, Important information on chemical safety is provided. This includes numerous chemicals and how they react to certain stimulus. Also noted is the personnal safety equipment necessary to properly handle said chemicals and proper disposal methods.
