If you are at work and it is not yet time for lunch, this is one of the moments when you may find yourself reaching for something very unhealthy such as a chocolate bar, croissant, cream cake or other unhealthy snacks. For those who are watching their weight, this is disastrous. It is also possible that you may become so hungry that you grab twice as many unhealthy snacks to eat before lunch or even end up eating all of your packed lunch by 11.30 am. Eating a good breakfast will prevent you from becoming very hungry by lunch and putting you at risk of overeating.
Don’t skip meals. As a busy wellness provider, it’s easy to skip a meal in favour of squeezing in an extra appointment, running some responsibilities or checking up on a client. It might also seem like a good option if you’re trying to lose weight. However, missing a meal can lead to extreme hunger. When you let yourself get too hungry, you’re more likely to end up overeating later and actually gain weight. Skipping a meal can also lead to exhaustion.
Next, set aside a few hours once a week to plan healthy meals for the week and go shopping for food so that you won 't have to cook a meal every night. Prepare a week 's worth of meals over the weekend and then put them in the freezer so you can pop them in the office microwave.
