How to Change a Tire When changing a tire, there is always a catch. So one must know that things won’t go according to plan or some kind of inconveniences will happen. So it is the coldest day of the year and my hands are freezing cold and on top of that I have to grab hold of a tire iron. So I’m driving and a tire pops, first one has to safely come to a complete stop and park the car on the side of the road far away from the road as possible. Once the car has come to a complete stop, turn on the emergency lights to notify the other drives that there is an emergency, so they can be aware of the situation. After the tire is securely in place, screw on the lug nuts which should be located on the ground or in the hubcap as indicated in a previse step. Once all the lug nuts are screwed on tight much sure that none of them are lose, so that they don’t come unscrewed. Afterwards lower the car, and tighten the lug nuts further, put jack, tire iron and the popped tire in the trunk, and drive off. Of course, at home, nobody thinks to double-check that the spare tire was inflated, that the jack and tire iron were in the trunk and one knows where to position the jack underneath the car, and the flashlight actually works. It being the coldest they of the year, there is no time to learn that the spare tire is not inflated and that the jack can’t be found. But on the other hand all one has to do to avoid this horrible situation is to join Triple A for about 64 bucks a year and they come out and do the work. So when I have a flat tire, the real steps I need to take are making sure my cell phone is charged, check that I have Triple A's number in my phone, and that I pull off the road as far as I can and call for
