What is the Thinnest Layer of the Earth?

Answer – The thinnest layer of the Earth is its outermost layer called the crust.

Explanation:

The Earth has three layers – the crust, the mantle and the core. The thickness of each of these layers varies from one to the other. Of them, the outermost layer is the crust, and it is the thinnest. It extends to only a depth of about 25 miles from the surface of the Earth.

The crust is also the only layer of the Earth that is almost entirely solid. The mantle is partially magma, while the core is nearly completely molten.
