Nathaniel Ames (1708–1764)

Ames, Nathaniel. An American physician and humorist; born in Bridgewater, MA, in 1708; died at Dedham, MA, July 11, 1764. He was a resident of Dedham, MA. From 1725 to 1764 he published an Astronomical Diary and Almanac, which enjoyed great popularity on account of its wit.
