Jaroslav Goll (1846–1929)

Goll, Jaroslav (gōl). A Czech poet and historian; born in Chlumetz, July 11, 1846; died in 1929. His ‘Poems,’ in one volume, include some very popular ‘Songs of the Exiles.’ His historical works, among them ‘The French Marriage,’ ‘France and England, 1624 and 1625,’ are important and popular.
