Gomes Leal, António Duarte (gō’mes lā’äl). A Portuguese poet; born in Lisbon, June 6, 1848; died in 1921. Of his radical and heterodox poems ‘Antichrist,’ ‘Renegade,’ and ‘The Defense against England’ have been most widely read.
