Susan Hale (1833–1910)

Hale, Susan. An American artist, writer of travels, and biographer, sister of E. E. Hale; born at Boston, 1833; died in 1910. She wrote ‘Life and Letters of Thomas Gold Appleton’ (1885). With her brother she wrote the ‘Family Flight’ series of travels for young people.
