Caroline Hazard (1856–1945)

Hazard, Caroline. An American author, and president of Wellesley College (1899–1910); born in Peace Dale, RI, June 10, 1856; died in 1945. She edited ‘Works of R. G. Hazard’ (1889); and wrote ‘Life of J. L. Diman’ (1886); ‘Thomas Hazard’ (1893); ‘Narragansett Ballads’ (1894); ‘The Narragansett Friends’ Meeting’ (1899); ‘A Scallop Shell of Quiet’ (1908); ‘The College Year’ (1910).
