Edward Atkinson (1827–1905)

Atkinson, Edward. An American political economist and statistician; born at Brookline, MA, Feb. 10, 1827; died on Dec. 11, 1905. Besides numerous pamphlets and articles in periodicals, he wrote: ‘Our National Domain’ (1879); ‘The Distribution of Products’ (1885); ‘The Margin of Profits’ (1887); ‘Bi-Metallism in Europe’ (1888); ‘The Industrial Progress of the Nation’ (1889); ‘Science of Nutrition’ (1892).
