Edgar Watson Howe (1853–1937)

Howe, Edgar Watson. An American journalist and novelist; born in Wabash County, IN, 1853; died in 1937. He was proprietor and editor of the Daily Globe, Atchison, KS (1877–1911). He wrote: ‘The Story of a Country Town’ (1883), which attracted considerable attention; ‘The Mystery of the Locks’; ‘A Moonlight Boy’; ‘A Man Story’; ‘Lay Sermons’; and several volumes of travels.
