Antoine de Latour (1808–1881)

Latour, Antoine Tenant de (lä-tör’). A French writer; born at St. Yrieix, 1808; died at Sceaux, Aug. 27, 1881. He wrote an ‘Essay on the Study of French History in the Nineteenth Century’ (1835); a noteworthy study of Luther (1835); an ‘Account of a Voyage to the East’ (1847); and a series of ten volumes on Spain.
