Lee, Gerald Stanley. An American clergyman, author, lecturer, and critic; born in Brockton, MA, Oct. 4, 1862; died in 1944. He wrote: ‘About an Old New England Church’ (1893); ‘The Shadow Christ’ (1896); ‘Lost Art of Reading’ (1902); ‘The Voice of the Machines’ (1906); ‘Crowds’ (1913).
