Francesco Baldovini (1635–1716)
Baldovini, Francesco (bäl-dō-vē’nē). An Italian churchman poet; born at Florence, Feb. 27, 1635; died on Nov. 16, 1716. He wrote ‘Lament of Cecco of Varlungo’ (1694), one of the best examples of Italian rustic poetry.
