Count Émile de Najac (1828–1889)

Najac, Émile, Count de (nä-zhäk’). A French dramatist; born in Lorient, Morbihan, 1828; died in Paris, 1889. He produced: ‘Caged Birds’ (1863); ‘The Last Doll’ (1875); ‘Madam Is Served’ (1874); and ‘Let Us Divorce!’ (1880). He has also collaborated with Meilhac, Sardou, and Hennequin.
