Charles Stedman Newhall (1842–1935)

Newhall, Charles Stedman. An American educator and author; born at Boston, Oct. 4, 1842; died in 1935. Besides a series of books on the trees, shrubs, and vines of northeastern America, he wrote for young people, ‘Joe and the Howards’; ‘Harry’s Trip to the Orient’ (1885); ‘Ruthie’s Story’ (1888); ‘Handbook and Herbarium.’
